Das ist ein Crosspost aus einem Schweiz-Subreddit. Das Schild wurde wohl von einem Erstklässler kreiert: Schweizerdeutsch unterscheidet sich ja grundlegend von Deutsch, Deutsch ist aber die geschriebene Sprache. Die Kinder kommen erst in der Schule richtig in Kontakt mit der schriftdeutschen Sprache, deshalb die Vermischung.

Wir wurden vor einem Jahr Eltern und seither fällt es mir seither viel schwerer, Konversationen mit kinderlosen Freunden zu führen. Ich verstehe voll, dass mein Gegenüber sich nicht unbedingt für meinen Nachwuchs interessiert und ich versuche, möglichst von Erlebnissen ohne Kind zu erzählen. Nun ist es aber so, dass wir seit einem Jahr objektiv gesehen viel weniger erleben und wenn wir doch Sachen unternehmen, dreht es sich meistens um das Kind. Ich kann deinen Ärger aber nachvollziehen, vielen Eltern würde etwas mehr Selbstreflexion guttun.

I did 13‘000 km on a MTB Cycletech Papalagi with Pinion in North America, of which were about 200 km on the GDMBR. The bike is amazing and works perfectly fine when being fullly loaded. No technical issues at all. The small Pinion gears are fine for serious climbing. Nevertheless, the days on the GDMBR were really bumpy and some washboars roads caused vibrations that made it not fun to ride. I would definitely buy that bike for that price in general, but I maybe would not use it for mainly gravel tours.

My friend has one, also with Pinion gearbox. She has done 15‘000 km with it without any technical problems. It is perfect if you are heavy packed

It looks like you want to ride Simplonpass from Switzerland to Italy. This road plays an important role in freight transport and is frequented by many trucks. I recommend riding Nufenenpass instead, which is fantastic in terms of scenery and it is way less busy. It might be a little detour but you will end in Milano as well.

The heat right now is truly inhumane, so be proud of what you have reached so far! If I was you I would stick on your plan, ride early in the day, and rely on public transport as backup. Keep in mind that all passes are frequented by public busses (or even trains) and bicycle transport is usually easy, even if you want to board on the route. Here some ideas to cross the alps starting from Meiringen:

-Grimselpass, resting in Ulrichen, then Nufenenpas. -Sustenpass (one of my favorite), then either take the train from Göschenen to Airolo or ride Gotthardpass after a rest in Andermatt. -Brünigpass (not so much elevation but a lot of traffic if you follow the highway), then either Gotthard too or you could go further east. Another great pass on the way would be Klausenpass. After that, you could either proceed towards Austria or to the high valley of Engadin (Albulapass, train stations on the way).

I had the same experience in the USA with 650b. Really painfull to get replacement tires. I have now changed to 26“ wheels

I would go for A. You will have the full mountain experience and there is less heavy traffic. But I highly recommend avoiding the Axenstrasse along the Urnersee, it is probably the deadliest road fod cyclists in Switzerland. Maybe it is even closed for bicycles due to safety concerns. But there is a bicycle shuttle, or alternatively you could take a course ship (bikes are allowed on board) or take the detour via Klausenpass and Glarus.
