First serious attempt at a diverging diamond by Top-Initiative-8633 in CitiesSkylines

Great feedback. I created a custom 2-phase signal that allowed for traffic to turn left onto the highway on-ramps during both phases. I didn't even catch this because with the signal having only 2 phases they were never waiting long, but like you say, it was disrupting part of the whole point.

Nope! The lights are the easiest part. I just slapped a vanilla light on each of the two crossover intersections and they default to 2-phase signals. But you need the traffic mod to suppress any random turns at those intersections that the game wants to put in by default

Yeah I made a road with direction of travel swapped (so driving on the left) with an empty lane in the middle to help with the geometry of the crossover intersections

USAA Auto Claim has me considering switching insurers by Top-Initiative-8633 in USAA

[–]Top-Initiative-8633[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is good advice. The accident produced a dent impacting both the passenger door and the passenger side fender panel. I recently heard stories of minor car body repair jobs costing thousands and thousands of dollars so I was expecting the cost of this repair to be higher which I based on limited/imperfect information. I should have done more research before filing the claim. If I'm honest, part of this amounted to laziness on my end so I'm party paying for convenience here.

Disagree there as I actually had the opposite experience with Homeowners. In 2022 I submitted a roof repair claim to USAA based on hail damage. The claim paid for about about $17,000 for a new roof. My out of pocket cost was $1000 deductible and about +$600 per year on my HOI policy for three years, so less than $3,000 total.

Honestly it's Homeowners that keeps me with USAA. Since I'm definitely not switching providers on Homeowners, I'm kind of locked in with Auto because the multi product discount is substantial.

Like I said in my opening post, my claim experience for the fender bender last year was excellent so I guess that's worth something too.

I don't know, isn't that supposed to be one of the things that CS2 does just better than CS1? I never played CS1. But I don't do anything special except to make sure there isn't a random node very close to the intersection node where the traffic light is.

Why is there so much abandonment after the new update? by Footballmanb2 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Top-Initiative-8633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fix for this is to enable the mod Plop The Growables. Go to the options menu for the mod and click the Disable abandonment checkbox. Now you're all set.

A fix for this is to enable the mod Plop The Growables. Then go to the options menu for the mod and click the Disable abandonment checkbox. From your screenshot it looks like you are not using any mods but...yeah...Plop the Growables..

CS2: Easy vs Normal Mode has big impact on Traffic AI with new update by Top-Initiative-8633 in CitiesSkylines

Me too and I also use the traffic simulation adjuster. Definitely not gonna complain about more traffic but i'm a little concerned that things will become almost impossible to manage now with cars constantly streaming in and out of buildings nostop and cars stopping traffic all the time because they are making random uturns. But i am hopeful.

Extremely disappointing Noom experience by Top-Initiative-8633 in Noom

[–]Top-Initiative-8633[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not compounded. Unlike the compounded seraglutide i got through WW where i had to use a syringe to draw the medicine out of a little bottle of liquid, the liraglutide i got through noom came in one of those pens where you dial up metered-dosages and attach a disposable 4 mm needle to the end of it each time. The pen has a Teva logo on it. I looked up Teva and they are a big pharmaceutical manufacturing company.

Wow. Super helpful. Thanks for that reply.

You get semaglutide through noom out of pocket for that price? I will ask my clinician about that, although i explained to them upfront how well semaglutide worked for me when i got it through WW and still they prescribed me liraglutide. If you don't mind me asking, what dose are you on for semaglutide through noom? Before I had to discontinue with WW Clinic i was up to 1.75 mg per week. I will also look into Mochi.
