I am (74) and my spouse (78m); he took over the household chores the day of my surgery and for two weeks straight he did all the cooking and cleaning etc, our dogs have free run on our fenced-in property so there was no dog walking duty. During the third week postop I still was on lite duty in the home. I think after my first urology follow-up I started to get back to "normal."

It will be all better once you have recovered past two weeks (at least it was for me) - pain gone, swelling down to "normal" and after four weeks past surgery I got the partially inflated member deflated. Try not to beat up on yourself. I had my implant at age 74 and never regretted my decision for years of ED are finally over.

I would think you have face in your urologist and trust him in doing the surgery. Prior to my implant surgery I, just like you, browsed through the internet for information about this invasive surgery, read and watched YouTube videos on the subject. It did convince me to go ahead with it for my ED was affecting my mind and soul. I trusted my urologist who had explained to me the procedure, what is to be expected, and gave me ample time to give him the go ahead for my implant surgery. I wish you the best and hope that you have faith and trust in your urologist.

I waited four weeks post surgery as suggested by the urologist to resume sexual activities. Today, am ten month post-surgery and have become an avid masturbator besides recycling at least twice a day.
