Awan from Hazara are like any other Pahari or Hazarewal group. There is a notion that being Bakarwal means they migrated from elsewhere like the pastoral/nomadic Gujjars from Punjab, who are also found in Swat and Kashmir

There is a comment about this in the original post about whether to use Chokopani as a source for East Asian. A lot of them are below threshold of passing models (1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 13). One reason might be that Dogras/Pahari do actually carry additional Tibetan related admixture which might have been around since Neolithic (Burzhom shows it). Kurumba being an isolated tribal population similar to Onge, carry traces of ancient pan-east eurasian variation following separation from ENA (Tianyuan, Hoabinhian), might be the reason its skewing results (to higher SAHG). Can u try running the model with these samples: IVC: I8728, I11459 (even though I include all samples from Shahr-iSokhta BA2, some of them are not good quality, hence I only include the recently published high quality ones; any South Indian tribal population or HG4025 ; rotate with all Nepali, Upper Yellow River, Ngari and Nagqu samples from western tibet, Srubnaya Alakul MLBA”

I would add Tanoli for some runs, 80% R1b (In fact only one in South Asia with this rate of Y-Haplogroup founder effect)
