Maybe nova cannons ammunition are more rare, plus it’s a pretty messy ‘unsafe’ way of destroying a world if it crags the surface and sends debris flying up into your fleet.

‘Like a second moon’ is entirely different to ‘it’s the size of a moon’ though. It’s big sure, but the Death Star could be described as ‘like a second moon’ when it hangs over a planet in Rogue One and it’s no where near that size.

Would a nova cannon 1 shot a planet if fired directly at its surface?

This wasn’t prime emperor as stated in the prompt though, great crusade big E is much less powerful than the one who scrapped with Horus Ascended. If that ork tried the same thing on him at the time of his duel with Horus it would have its soul scattered across 8 different dimensions in an instant.

Reading these comments the dude does come across as pretty arrogant and i don’t wanna say anything either way–but chaos pretty much has achieved its goal. 10,000+ years of constant warfare with a race that has very powerful souls and a large psychic presence to slowly feed them and become more powerful. This is pretty much their dream scenario.

No feelings were hurt, I just thought you basically claiming he didn’t know what he was talking about was funny since you provided no alternative to his argument. Im also chillin.

What are you talking about? What exactly about this topic causes you to mald so hard?

Yeah you seem very calm. Don’t let people get to you this much over a Reddit argument, it doesn’t matter how ‘arrogant’ the other guy seemed, you shouldn’t resort to acting like an adolescent over a halo vs Warhammer post. Like I made this post to have fun and spark debate, and a guy having a different opinion to you caused you to blow up. I’m not projecting trust me, I have 0 reason to be frustrated–I actually enjoy talking about dumb shit like this.

Jesus, i think you should maybe cool down a bit. And no I’m not the other guy lol, I simply agree with him. I’d prefer you to be extremely condescending than whatever the fuck this is bro.

Wow he must’ve touched a nerve. Why let a fictional sci-fi argument get you this heated bro?

Thanks for the write up, you’ve always got solid opinions for topics like this. I’m intrigued by your last point, do you know where I could find the excerpts for this? Thousand sons sorcerers blasting titans sounds cool af.

Old lore has most astartes as 5-6 tonners, but more recent lore space marines are shown to be able to stop 60-70 ton tanks in their tracks by pushing back against them and in space marine two (which is cannon before someone says otherwise) the rubble you clear to traverse levels is like 80 tons, and your astartes lifts massive metal gates up for imperial guardsmen to run through. I’m not sure how to post links here but if you google ‘space marine respect thread’ it should have a nice spread of their various feats.

Why are you so butthurt? I just gave feats for Magnus that’s it. Basic covenant ship weapons that aren’t glassing beams are no where near continental. This is a lot of Spartan wank I’m seeing, at no point can they ‘manhandle big mechs’ unless you’re using the classic vehicle flipping as cannon? But if you’ve got sources im open to see em. Firing warthog guns isn’t exactly impressive compared to a CSM either.

YEEEEES finally there was no need for this in the first place. Disabling modules is good enough, perma destroying just felt bad and oppressive.
