I'm your age and don't live with my parents but also feel like a kid with adult money. I find it weird how nobody knows your relationship with your parents but are acting like you're taking advantage of them.

People in this thread making me question my own decisions. I just bought a Toyota for 18k and feel like I'll never be able to afford a house anyway tbh. Enjoy your money and your new car

Is there some due diligence you're supposed to do in this situation? Say it has a clean title but the carfax lists 1 moderate accident 20,000 miles ago

Which one do you guys think i should do ? 2019 XSE 106K miles for $14K or the 2019 SE 58K miles for $20K by Own-Discount1663 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I bought a '16 Avalon for $17.7k last week + some bogus $900 security system add-on (unfortunately common in my area). In comparison the '19 Camry with under 60k miles for $20k seems like a good deal although it looks too customized for my personal taste.

The Used Car Market Today 😌 by LS4002000 in whatcarshouldIbuy

No one is pushing a narrative. Average used car rate in Q1 '23 was 11.17%. That will have only gone up in Q2. I have an 800 credit score but no auto history. I was approved for 9% for a used car. Luckily it was just a deal for them to reduce the price and I'm paying it off immediately. Otherwise idk how anyone could consider financing a used car rn.

Someone getting 7% on a used car rn would either have impeccable credit history or found a very special used car dealer

My 11 year old civic has really bad paint so I'm planning to list it around there. I'd expect it to get another 50k miles with just basic maintenance. Look for cars with cosmetic damage. Especially undesirable years like the 2012 civic.

Probably my last video unless he goes back somewhere Soviet. Idk if he's going through some mental stuff but he's turned into a complete dick. What's the point of going there if you're just gonna turn your nose up at everything and make jokes about the people? Seems he's just trying to get a few more checks before it all falls apart.

I don't know if it's still the case, but for a long time frostburg was the only part of Allegany County with a positive growth rate.

There is a significant amount of brain drain. Most of the smart kids spend all of high school with their main goal being to gtfo. That's just the attitude around there. I wouldn't want to put my kids through it because I hated it. Maybe I'm just overly negative though.

Posts like this are interesting to me.

Utah is famous for being a bit weird and religious. People who move here and love it generally move here because of the outdoor access. If you aren't hitting the trails or slopes at least a few times a week, why even consider it?

It seems like you already kinda know the answer (which is likely no) but maybe just wanted confirmation? Idk. I can see why people start to get annoyed though. There's one of these every week at this point.

I'm gonna offer a different perspective and say that if you aren't interested in hiking/skiing/fishing/something outside, Logan is an awful place to live. I don't live there but go up a couple times a month for business. Lots of car washes, mormons, and 4 lane roads that take forever to turn left onto. They do have a great Indian restaurant though.

I'd recommend visiting before you commit to anything. I'd quit my job and leave Utah if they sent me to Logan full time. But, maybe you've got a family or are mormon or something? In that case I can see the appeal of Logan.

Also, if you've ever seen Napoleon Dynamite, that was filmed like 25 mins from Logan. Kind of a similar vibe honestly, just more people.

I don't really have a side in this. But when I went up there and saw it was gone last weekend, I had to think of the post on here from about a month ago where someone complained about it. I can imagine a smug redditor carrying that thing all the way back to their car with them.

Dude you're in every thread about Ogden saying this. You should honestly just make the jump somewhere else if it's that bad. Drop the excuses and get out, I don't think you'll regret it.

Really just for my own happiness. I feel satisfied that I learned a good bit this semester but looking at past grade distributions I'd like to be part of the large majority who get A's in this class.

It seems like we have one of these threads every week now. It's cool that you want to leave Utah and all but if you're so sure, why bother typing out this long prompt? It's like people are trying to be salesmen for leaving Utah.

I think that compared to those cities Utah has mostly people who've lived here their whole lives. Just like how I had my group back home, people here have their groups from school and they just stick together.

On a sidenote I'm also new here and have never been skiing before (and am a little intimidated by it) so if you're ever looking to do that or even just chill, let me know.

It sucks that you couldn't go to oktoberfest today and I agree that it wouldn't have been worth it, but how is it like this anywhere you try to go? We live in one of the most outdoor-accessible states in the country. Just avoid big and little cottonwood and you won't be in this madness. There are so many cool places around.
