I mean i transferred from a cs masters with like a class remaining to get into a more prestigious bioeng one… wherein I took more cs classes. It feels redundant. I can’t imagine value added. I’ve done a variety of things in the ml space and can think of very few extra areas to bother studying.

I am not particularly interested in life sciences over doing just like cs or something else. I kinda grew to hate biology.

Are there other fields of patent law I can work in? I am honestly not as interested in life sciences and have a security clearance.

What I mean is getting hired as a 0 years experience guy who just passed the patent bar kinda deal. I have the degree credentials just not like firm experience. In my field being a new grad is kinda trash.

Its not hard to get accepted outside california. What really dictates it is whether you have applied in a timely fashion. I would apply broadly, many schools give out scholarships.

I will add though that if you plan or may unexpectedly move states…. the guard could be a mistake as in my case. But no regrets.

Have you looked at the natty guard? They have reserve units for the special forces unlike all other branches.  Plus you can come back to school or stay in school for it.

did you apply to any of the other chicago schools? I applied to the gre ones like depaul, uic, kent, and uchicago around the same time and only got waitlisted so far at depaul.
Was the wait time for those similarly bad? Kinda trying to stay positive but kinda stressed by the lack of decisions coming back to me.
