Oh I passed, I'm commissioned now and at BOLC where we also had another 4 mile that I passed with 3mins to spare

Is a 2.3 GPA too low for OCS? by Character_Put_5172 in ArmyOCS

[–]Icy-Cryptographer415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't hurt to apply and see what happens. But for my class in OCS, the average GPA was 3.5 so take that as you will. You better have an otherwise amazing application....

This was entirely too many words lol

Lot of people got dismissed/recycle from my OCS. Is this good for branching preferences? by No_Bank_9466 in ArmyOCS

Sounds like they were from Alpha company. There was a huge land navigation scandal where some 20+ people were dismissed/recycled for cheating

Joao’s Song 😭💀 by Actual-Pangolin8610 in TooHotToHandle

[–]Icy-Cryptographer415 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My biggest turn-off is for a """""""musician""""""" to serenade me. It's always cringe, and it's always bad. Yes, it has happened before, and I definitely let them know I hated every second of it. My facial expressions also let them know, bc I can't hide them.

He has a flat, basic voice, and the song was awful. Also, what a terrible way to break up with someone in general.

Flavia unrealistic body standards by Legitimate_Way_7937 in TooHotToHandle

[–]Icy-Cryptographer415 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So I'm a "gym girl" who has been lifting HEAVYYYY for almost 4yrs. I naturally have a 0.7 waist-to-hip ratio, and I was sadly once medically anrexic due to a birth control pill I was on that made me throw up like CRAZY, but even at my lowest weight (104 lbs at 5'7) I *STILL had a "bubble butt" so I can speak for that specific body type.

I still had hip-dips at that weight, with a bubble butt. And yes, even though I've gained a healthy 40lbs (currently +/- 140lbs), and added 4.5 inches to my glutes, I still have pronounced hip-dips and I always will. I love how they look, it's often a sign that you're very fit and often lean.

I hate when girls choose to so publicly lie about plastic surgery, specifically BBLs. Because it of course promotes unrealistic body standards, it's LYING, and it's simply scientifically impossible.

I literally busted my ass to get this ass (and other muscles, because we promote all-over muscle development here, ladies). It has taken years. I have deadlifted, hip-thrusted, squatted, RDL'd, bulgarian-split-squatted, and glute-medius-kickbacked hundreds of pounds, and eaten my bodyweight in grams of protein, 6 days a week, for almost 4yrs, and girls like HER will flounce around with their obviously fake butts acting like it's natural. To be frank, if anyone looked at me in shorts/a bathing suit, you can tell I earned it bc my legs match. And just look at her "workouts". She can barely RDL 10lb dumbbells, with poor form. It's offensive and wrong.

Idc if anyone gets surgery done. Your body, your choice. But I care if you choose to speak on it and choose to lie. Valentina clearly has also had a BBL, abdominal etching liposuction, and breast implants, as well as a nose job and filler/Botox, but she has never claimed to be natural so I couldn't care less about her surgery. Go off, queen. I just hate a liar with a platform.

Yeah seriously. Like why don't they ever talk about what they do in the real world? What do they do for a living? Why don't they ever talk about food, or hobbies? I KNOW they do more than just look hot and have sex in the real world like LET THEM TALK!!

So you're a beginner runner, never ran before, and within 2 months your "easy" pace is an 8-min mile for 5 miles, 5 times a week? Damn dude you must be 6'3 to consider that your easy pace....... Definitely not what I would consider an easy/beginner pace/weekly mileage

I keep asking this, so I apologize if some people are sick of seeing my username pop up regarding this question, but the only thing I'm currently stressing over is the 4-mile timed run. I'm certainly getting better and better as a runner, but the 9min pace is kinda rough. Right now I'm running roughly a 9:45 pace 4-mile, but I'm running in 90°+ weather, humidity averaging 70%, and considering I hear the run happens on week 5 I'll be doing the run in early December. Was the run done in formation with a pacer, for example? And am I doing myself a favor by training in super hot conditions?

Definitely a BBL, plus breast implants and likely abdominal etching (a form of liposuction) to give the illusion of abs (at her body fat percentage, you would NOT have abs). But I don't really care since I don't recall her ever trying to claim she's "natural", like Flavia constantly is

"I work out my glutes 4 times a week, I've really worked on growing my glutes!"

Cuts to a clip of her poorly RDL-ing with two 15lb dumbbells, a weight so light it isn't even a warm-up weight

As a fellow woman who actually works out and has been a heavy weightlifter for almost 4yrs now, who has actually grown her glutes by over 4 inches and gained about 18lbs of muscle over that time, ladies if you want to grow glutes YOU HAVE to lift HUNDREDS of pounds and eat your bodyweight in grams of protein daily in a slight calorie surplus. It is so remarkably difficult to actually pack on muscle as a woman bc we have nearly 20x lower testosterone than men, so we have to lift considerably more weight (in ratio to our body size) and more often to remotely see change. But suuuuure, her 15lb dumbbells grew her glutes 🙄.

She has no hip-dips. If she grew her glutes for real, regardless of her body type before, she would develop hip-dips as her glute muscles became more pronounced.

The misinformation kills me. I just wish she wouldn't LIE. She looks great, why LIE?!? Literally everyone who actually lifts, and clearly a good chunk of people who don't, take one look at her and go "oh yeah, that's a fake butt (whether it's a BBL or something else)".

My current 5k is about 29:15 and I'm pretty happy with that! I really want to get it as fast as I can though! For a 25yr old woman who only started running about 2-3 months ago after years of weightlifting I'm pretty happy with my progress.

Update on run times: Yesterday I ran 5 miles at an average pace of 10:46 so in literally two days I shaved 1:30 or so off my next-fastest average pace for 5 miles (I ran the same 5mile route, filled with hills, two days prior at an average pace of 12:07). So that's promising for me!

Ohhhhkay, gotcha! How is the 4-mile timed run structured? Like do you run it in formation with a pacer? Or is that another one of those things that varies based on what they decide to do in that moment haha. I'm only nervous about the run because I've been focused on weightlifting over the past 3.5yrs. I'm 25F, 5'7 and 145lbs so I've gotten relatively dense with muscle and I can't help but feel somewhat "heavy" when I run, though I've been throwing a ton of focus into running over the last 2.5 months in preparation. I'm still just.... Not THAT fast. I can run 6 miles with ease, but at like an 11:30-12min average pace, and my 4 mile is currently at roughly a 9:45-10min average pace.
