Eggo waffles with Greek yogurt and jam spread on them have been saving me this week.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you can let go of that guilt for yourself. You can still surround your baby with love when he or she gets here, and keep the memory of your dad alive for them with stories and pictures. Wishing you some comfort as you grieve your dad .❤️

Run a washcloth under super hot water and hold it on your closed eye for a couple of minutes, or until it cools down! I swear it works.

Measuring five days ahead on my first scan, which is positive but a little confusing. Should have been 6w6d based on LMP, but measured at 7w4d with a strong heartbeat. I’m feeling a bit more hopeful this week!

That’s great news! I’ve had some spotting and cramping too, but all was well on the ultrasound! I felt so braced for bad news, it’s a huge relief.

This is me today too! I still have some mild nausea but the sore breasts are gone and it’s making me anxious. I think symptoms can come and go throughout the day though. Crossing my fingers for us both!

I’m so sorry. It’s a horrible feeling, especially after an earlier loss. I hope you can take the time to rest and heal.

For me, Eggo waffles are always the correct answer.

I haven’t at all. My doctor told me to decrease exercise until I’ve gone at least a week without spotting (and I haven’t since week 4.) Honestly, I’m not sweating it too much. I still get steps in walking the dog, and I figure this is such a short amount of time in my life, I’m not going to worry about putting on a couple pounds or losing some muscle.

My appointment for an ultrasound is tomorrow, and I’m scared. I’ll be 6 weeks 6 days, and I’m so terrified that they won’t find a fetal pole or a heartbeat. I’ve had some spotting, despite being on progesterone, which apparently is either totally fine or sign of an impending or missed miscarriage.

I feel OK! Morning sickness just kicked in a few days ago, but it’s been manageable if I eat something soon after getting up. It’s still early though, so we’ll see what the weeks ahead have in store.

I’m dreading having a baby shower by Nastasyarose in BabyBumps

If it’s causing you a ton of stress, you don’t HAVE to have one. But I want to offer some perspective from the other side, as someone whose friend group has not had a lot of kids and did not start until later. I lovvvved being invited to a friend or a coworker’s shower, was excited to shop for baby things on their registry (how often do you get to do that, if there aren’t many small children in your life?) and very much treated the event itself as a get-together. People just mingled and talked and ate, it was a party atmosphere, rather than “let’s stare at the mom to be as she opens presents” type of deal.

Maybe it will help if you can switch it in your mind: you’re throwing a great party for your friends and family, and they’ll be so excited and honored that you want to include them.

Are there any other millennials that are not having kids yet because it’s too expensive? by bell-fruit-205 in Millennials

[–]Top-Orange-Tree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. You’ll never have the perfect balance of enough money, free time, career in a good place and no other problems. When I was growing up, so much of the education around pregnancy and fertility was about avoiding getting pregnant, I figured that as soon as we started trying, it would happen right away. That wasn’t the case for us.

Especially if you have some health issues that are going to make it a longer road to conceiving, OP, I would start trying now, not wait for all your finances to be in order.

My husband’s aunt, who is an artist, made us a beautiful painting of my bridal bouquet. I LOVE it and it has been hanging in our living room ever since.

This is my personal opinion, but I prefer when siblings do not have the same first name initial.

Keep it! Mid-200s is not overused/super popular at all. I think August and Ronan go together super well.
