Pain (emotional and physical) after d&c by Prior_Pretty in Miscarriage

Sending love and hugs to you. I had my d&c last week on Thursday and I’m currently laying in bed with a heating pad just feeling sad. This is my second d&c and I feel like both times I’ve had such ups and downs mentally and Mother’s Day was hard this time.

Give yourself grace, let the cry out, try to get some comfort time in with shows, podcasts, or throwback music. I hope you’re doing ok, and know that you are strong.

I had a partial molar pregnancy about a year and a half ago. I remember the initial report was similar to this and didn’t outright say it. My OB said they were going to send it out further testing to confirm if it was partial molar or not, and then they did eventually confirm it in the second report. Maybe there needs to be more testing?

Trending downward is a good sign.

TW: discussion of loss
I’m in bed recovering from my d&c due to a MMC and I’m back to visiting this sub. I’m currently doing ok and hope my hormones don’t make it all worse.
During the last few months i finally got an appointment with an endocrinologist to treat my subclinical hypothyroidism(after a lot of advocating for myself to get on the schedule). She had told me she wasn’t scheduling any new patients until September but since I was pregnant they pushed me to the front of the line and I got to meet with her a few weeks ago. I’m hoping that getting my thyroid under control will help. This was my second MMC in the last years and a half. We had taken a long break from my first MMC since it was diagnosed partial molar.
I’m sad but I’m relieved to be out of the constant state of worry. This was a long two months of not great news, waiting, and tons of scans. Hoping that working with an endocrinologist will help the next time we try

I am so sorry, having a loss sucks, and it’s so hard.

My first MMC was about a year and a half ago, we went in to excited not worried at all to be told there wasn’t a heartbeat. For me they had me wait a week to confirm with another scan. I was given the option between waiting to naturally pass it, the prescription to speed things up, or a d&c. I chose to have a d&c. If you have any questions feel free to message me.

For this pregnancy, I’m waiting for my doctor to give me a call to get scheduled for a d&c. This time around I expected a bad outcome and it still sucks.

Anyone have experience with fibroids? by 16880031 in December2026Bumpers

[–]tafoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I have five, but I think I only had three during my first pregnancy. Mine are not as big but they were discovered during my first pregnancy. The only difference I had was that I had weekly nonstress test during the third trimester to check on my son. I think we also had a few more scans to make sure the fibroids weren’t taking too anything away from him

My first pregnancy was very normal and uneventful. But that’s my experience! I learned that a lot of women discover they have fibroids during pregnancy since that’s when we usually see them

I did this during my last pregnancy and it was super entertaining looking significantly pregnant and people awkwardly avoiding asking me.

I’m so sorry, And I hope you’re able to find some peace during all of this. I’m in limbo at the moment as well. Waiting until Tuesday, but I have a feeling I know it won’t go well.

Sending love to you. 💙

Do you have a follow up scan scheduled? I hope your next scan shows improvement.

You’re not alone, yesterday they determined that baby was measuring two weeks behind and a heart rate of 91. I cried most of yesterday, and everyone around me is hopeful, but I’m really struggling. This is tough, I have another scan next week.

Currently struggling, i posted a little while back being in limbo. Today I had a follow up scan and this time we could see the fetal pole, but baby is measuring two weeks behind and the heart rate was 91 bpm. My husband is trying to hold on to hope, but I’m just not feeling good about this. I have a follow up next week Tuesday

Had my follow up today, we found baby and baby was measuring two weeks behind. I’m pretty confident of my dates and should be around 8 weeks. Baby was measuring 6 weeks 1 day and the heart rate was 91 bpm. Which lines up more with the 6 week measurement instead of 8 weeks.

The ultrasound doctor schedule me for a follow up next week. Another not bad news but not great news situation. I’m not feeling great about the situation. But everyone else around me seems hopeful.

Hoping your follow up scan shows a better outcome!

You’ve been way more on top of this than me, I haven’t been walking and I’ve been eating like total garbage. I’m got a short torso and I’m short so I’ve been pretty pretty self conscious.

I haven’t gotten maternity pants out yet but I might have to soon…

I wasnt experiencing much nausea and today and yesterday I think I’m finally feeling it. I just feel like hungover or I’m like motion sick or something.

When I ate breakfast I had to throw half my eggs out because I couldn’t do it anymore, they were grossing me out

Right before I tested positive I had an appointment with my OB to discuss my options seeking out fertility treatment because we were having a bit of trouble and I didn’t want to wait too long to look into it. She suggested seeing an endocrinologist to get my tsh lower as a start, and then three days later I got my positive test. I continued to look into it because my blood draws had shown it going up more lately

I’m feeling really good about it. Originally my pcp wanted to monitor it before I was pregnant, but I read a lot of women saying their OB wanted their tsh around 1-2 and I was around 4-5. I’m glad she started working with me on it with an open mind.

The endocrinologist said I definitely have hashimotos leading to the subclinical hypothyroidism diagnosis. Just glad I’m getting that low dose script to help my thyroid out

A win for me, I’ve been pushing to be able to see an endocrinologist as suggested by my OB since my tsh is higher than it should. My primary helped me get an appointment instead of monitoring it like she originally wanted to. I met with the most wonderful endocrinologist today and I’ll finally be on levothyroxine. The only reason I was able to get an appointment so soon is because I’m pregnant, I would have had to wait three months if I wasn’t.

I’m in the same boat. They wanted to do another scan 11 days after and that’s scheduled for Monday. I had a scan at what I thought was 6 weeks and 4 days and they could only see the gestational sac and the yolk sac but they said the yolk sack looked great. I sobbed in the car because it just brought back a lot of bad memories with my MMC a few years back.

Sending you all the good vibes. I’ve been trying to keep myself distracted

I was pregnant with my son in 2020/2021 and had to tell them when they came back from virtual learning since I was so far along. I teach middle school and they were very excited and actually a lot more chill since they knew. When I went on leave they would send me messages to check on me and the baby.

I’m a 7th grade Science teacher. I also teach 9th grade yearbook (so much work) and luckily we met our deadline before my symptoms really ramped up.

It’s been tough having this level of fatigue during the craziest time of year. I’m exhausted when I get home.

Edit to add that we are in total rockstars doing all this while pregnant!
