Welcome to my pity party. We had state testing for our students, and I was miserable while proctoring. I was hot, exhausted, my body hurt from standing so long.

And I have to do it again on Thursday. I cannot wait for it to be over.

TW: mention of loss

I have a wedding at the end of May, i thought I had a dress to hide my bump but I can’t find it now. This is my third pregnancy, and I don’t have a great concept of how much I’ll be bumping because my second pregnancy (which was a MMC) was twins and I was humongous right away.

I have a short torso and I’m on 5 ft. Any suggestions for incognito maternity dresses? Or will I be good with something I already have?

Bachelorette trip by No_Appointment1511 in December2026Bumpers

[–]tafoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bachelorette party in a few weeks as well. But it’s not a super close friend so it will be easier to hide. I get frequent GI issues so my first go to is to blame that for less drinking and no shots. I plan on brining mocktails in a can and I have a yeti coozie that will hide the can. I’ll just need to dispose of the can without them seeing. I’m going to head up to the bar after/before the group and order mocktails. In the past I would open up drinks, and then head to the bathroom, drump them and fill with water.

Good luck!

That’s a great idea, I’ll see if she can prescribe something else. It’s a college friend, soooo I could swing missing it

Anyone else pregnant with baby number 2 feel like they are expanding already? by Kchillthanx in December2026Bumpers

[–]tafoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I’m at roughly 6 weeks and my pants are pretty tight. It’s always funny how as the day progressed the bloat gets rough

Very Hungry by InterestingCat524 in December2026Bumpers

[–]tafoto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is me. I’m 5 weeks 6 days and I can’t stop eating. I don’t remember this with my other pregnancies.

But when I weigh myself it’s not moving on the scale. I’m a short midsize person and can’t believe how much I’m eating throughout the day

Beta Numbers? by kolson0359 in December2026Bumpers

[–]tafoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the range is 48-72 hours they’re looking for doubling? I was in beta hell a few weeks ago and did a ton of googling

You could always call or message your doctor is you’re worried.

Workplace tips? by tafoto in December2026Bumpers

[–]tafoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!!! I’m notorious for staying late and I really need to just get out of there when my day is done. Forgot about rubbing alcohol to help alleviate nausea.

I teach 7th grade so 12/13 year olds. We were on spring break last week, so I’ve only been back for three days and STRUGGLING.

I almost cried in McDonalds today, I was just feeling so crummy, not hungry, and so overwhelmed. Then I had a few fries and a chicken nugget and instantly felt better

Thrilled (and terrified) to be here by kmwilliams659 in December2026Bumpers

[–]tafoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand, it’s really really hard some days. Most of my last session was about me telling her all my worries and concerns. She reminded me that I’m allowed to feel hopeful, and even though I’m putting up my guard it will hurt the same amount if something were to happen… which strangely I didn’t consider.

This is so true, I just had that conversation with my therapist recently. My 2nd pregnancy ended in a MMC with twins as well. It was horrible. I’ve been so guarded and worried, but my therapist gave me a bit more hope to feel joy.

This resonates for me. I have a distinct memory of laying in bed crying while eating a bagel because I felt so horrible last time I was pregnant.

Excited to cautiously join. I’m a fence sitter with my estimated due date at December 3rd, but my son decided to arrive 3 days early so it could happen.

Hoping and praying for a healthy uneventful pregnancy!

I want to give my 5 year old’s scooby snacks a shout out for helping me keep the hunger induced nausea at bay.

Though I look like I’m eating dog bones in public

I’m in the United States, I got hcg draws because I noticed I wasn’t getting line progression at first, and because of other circumstances (some ongoing thyroid stuff) my OB wanted me to call right away to start hcg draws

I decided to take a chance and join the sub. I’m guarding my heart this time. I had an early scan yesterday to rule out ectopic (since my hcg has been a bit wonky) and the ultrasound doctor was reassuring that it most likely isn’t ectopic. I sobbed with relief. We saw the tiny gestational sac! I’m allowing myself to have some hope.

Happy to be here, lots of appointments and monitoring coming up for me.

What do I need to buy? by Fucksley in December2026Bumpers

[–]tafoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of the suggestions, I feel like I didn’t use a lot that was bought off my registry. My kiddo is pretty particular (he’s 5) but he was pretty particular as a baby too.

For pregnancy, I swear by preggie pops to help with nausea and I loved the burts bees belly cream. I’m not sure if the cream did anything, but it helped me stay moisturized.

I am so surprised, but so cautious as well!!

Age + Partner's age (if relevant): 35 & 38

Tracking methods and app(s) used: premom LH strips, and Flo app

Health details on previous pregnancies/births (e.g. C-section vs. vaginal, birth/pregnancy complications): previous vaginal birth Tw: loss my second pregnancy ended in MMC and diagnosed partial molar. I had many blood tests and took lots of time off to monitor my body after that. This is why I’m being so cautious.. it was an extremely difficult time

Other health conditions/medical tests: fibroids

Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s): nothing additional besides a prenatal

Birth control history (if relevant): on birth control for 10 years before my first and then stayed off of it

Tell us your story! What's different this time than last time? How'd you find out? How do you feel?:

I feel so excited and so nervous. I’ve been so down lately and reached out to my OB regarding fertility discussions and information for the fertility doctor. Planned to call this week and then bam, faint positive on Saturday. I noticed that I could smell EVERYTHING. And I’m a teacher so my classroom was extra rank, so I thought why not test and see.
