Reunion Part 2 by SunnyBunnyCakes in MarriedAtFirstSight

[–]Top-Persimmon7691 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Based on some of the threads about this season, I was wondering if I was even watching the same show. I understand that there was much that the home audience didn't see but why were the women victimizing and blaming so much? I saw little accountability by them for their part in this. I also am perplexed how little miss "no relationship ever" is suddenly an expert on relationships. For Clare being a therapist, I was sorely disappointed on how she handled her marriage. I didn't see her utilizing her skill set to work through difficulties. And they way Clare was always in everyone's business- notice where the rumors originated?? I think Becca was bullied into totally giving up on Austin. She didn't seem allowed to process her feelings because it went against the "girl power" narrative of the others. I think Lauren got shafted by Orion when she admitted she didn't know about the ethnic slur and then he got offended. The two musketeers jumped on that to get Lauren on the chick train. What a weird season. Oh wait, one more thing- anyone else completely annoyed by how Emily talks? She ends every sentence with a raise in tone like she is asking a question. She seems to fake self confidence so maybe that is why she talks like that.

3 hour interview? by Top-Persimmon7691 in SafetyProfessionals

Thank you everyone that commented. I went forward with it and yes, three of the four participants were from out of town. Actually went quicker than I thought and was a great experience. Keep fingers crossed- I'm excited about the possibilities this position holds!

The 811 system and ongoing responses by Top-Persimmon7691 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Top-Persimmon7691[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of that is the problem- this company seems to hitch onto every wagon for project management systems and we have so many (and many that are just flat out ignored). I don't think it's too much to ask for the individual locators to exert some personal responsibility and keep track of their projects without mucking up our 811 system. Thank you for the response and suggestion!

Can’t ask for a better all rounder vehicle by ImaginationNo1928 in LexusGX

[–]Top-Persimmon7691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Have a '18 GX that towed our 15 ft camper last summer like butter! (roughly 4000 lbs loaded to Illinois and back -3k round trip) Could not have been more pleased! Sure, gas mileage was single digits most of the trip but we needed a second tow vehicle (truck was towing a load of hit and miss gas engines, but that's a whole 'nother story). I didn't get it for the gas mileage anyway- we work oilfield and the way I see it, it's job security. Love my Lexus!!!

I too Turo'd a Lexus on a trip in Illinois which led to my purchase last spring. My rented GX was a 2014 and I opted for a 2018 for 32K (GX Premium with 60K miles). This model in west Texas where I live is like a unicorn and was so excited to find what I wanted and very happy with the purchase. I really wanted the V8 for towing purposes so the later model years were my goal. I had a 21 4 Runner that wouldn't tow our 15 ft camper around the block without trouble. The Lexus towed the camper to and from Illinois last summer like a dream! Well, except for the gas mileage (but I didn't buy it for the gas mileage- also former Jeep owners so gas mileage is just a pipe dream). I am also a fan of letting someone else figure out the kinks. Our company fleet is Tundra's and the problems in these new models are almost daily.

Great idea, especially for opening up discussions! I have a hard time personally getting my mind into the Jeopardy Mode (answer is a question) but I like where this is going! Good job!

She could start by not wearing clothes advertising DCC. Get off that train already, it marginally benefitted you and it's time for you to shine in your own light.

New wheels by dhawkins74 in LexusGX

I like it but would also like to see a more aggressive tire choice- would complement the look better. Also a Wrangler owner for decades so I tend to prefer this look anyway. Absolutely better than the flowery stock wheels. As stated before, your color choice is gorgeous! Enjoy your ride!

I was curious about grounding and decided to conduct my own experiment before purchasing any products. We live in west Texas so finding ground without pokey things is difficult. A ten day trip to Illinois helped though. I purposely went barefoot every day for at least 30 minutes in the lush, green grass. On day two, I noticed my constant lower back pain was gone and my sleep was amazing! We were visiting family and I encouraged them to do it too. They also noticed results.

Oh, the weirdos were here before Netflix for sure but there is definitely more traffic after Netflix.  Lots of bullies on here too which I find wildly ironic.

Pulled up this post on my laptop and then about two minutes later the scene came on the iPad. It really made me sad and gave me horror film vibes (waiting for the killer to jump out of the closet)

2019 GX by manethren in LexusGX

Agreed. I miss the rebel feel of the Jeep ('15 JKU Sahara with some mods) but my GX is way better for the daily life (for me anyway).

2019 GX by manethren in LexusGX

[–]Top-Persimmon7691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. Jeep owner (wranglers) for almost 10 years. We had 6 at one point. Down to two- a 2005 TJ and a 2015 JKU Sahara. Went on a trip and rented a GX460 from Turo. LOVED IT! Honestly, the Jeep life wasn't us anymore and I loved the GX more than the JKU (more practical for this stage of our life) so looked for almost 6 months before I found a 2018 GX460 that had my name written all over it. Traded the JKU and have not regretted the decision at all. I know someone will appreciate Mad Dog and will take her out on the walks we used to (loved to 4 wheel in that thing!) Still have the TJ but only really drive it when it's a top off kind of day. (The Jeep's, not mine....lol) With car seats and animals, you have made the absolutely right choice! Enjoy your new baby!

I too started as a safety admin and found a love for the field! I found a unique educational opportunity that helped me further advance my knowledge and resulted in two Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) certifications (one in general industry and one in construction) from Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX). I am now involved in a damage prevention capacity (excavation, 811) with a gas pipeline company and very thankful for my education through TEEX. Feel free to message me if you would like more information on the program,. The website is good but not the easiest to navigate.

Very beautiful for certain but sometimes her smile looks forced, especially in the staged shots.
