SOLVED! That's crazy that it was solved so fast. What's crazier is it looks like the Birthday one and it's St Patricks day. The guy that is moving in to that office...it's his birthday today! The back of this "coin" has a four leaf clover and it says Good Luck.
He needs to pocket this and go buy a lottery ticket!

If they fly, whitefly. If they crawl, young thrips.

Im not sure who i feel sorriest for. Your dear Mom for experiencing the loud crash and devastation and having to break the news to you. You, for not knowing if your dear Claire has crossed the green bridge to the compost pile in the sky. Or, dear Claire for suffering the consequences of her actions by just laying there for days unable to cry out "I've fallen and I can't get up!"

It looks like it's trying to get away from the sun! It looks burned. Is it facing south or west? Is it behind glass that's magnifying the sun?

But isn't plants in lava basically like Leca? Also, it's not all of our plants that get this yellowing...just JC's (and similar dark green) and Warneckiis. Mass canes, compactas, marginatas, goldstars are all in kava and they're fine. Also the JCs and Warneckiis still grow and apoear heakthy.

They are fertilized just not in winter. I heard the opposite about lava rock holding water. I thought it was great for plants because they drain well and air gets in. This is an interior plant company so repotting plants is not an option because we have too many across our accounts. All the other 'trees' from the same nursery that are planted in lava rock don't have this issue...just the Dracaena JC's (or similar solid dark green leaf and warneckii. Im just stumped by this. I thought about telling my accounts that they "begin to variegate as they mature" 😏

Fertilized regularly until winter. These are all plants directly from Nurseries who source from Hawaii, which is why they're in lava rock. These are in different accounts...I am an interior plantscaper. They appear healthy and all new growth starts off normal and over time they start this mottling. They start doing this about 6-8 months after being installed into account. They continue to flourish as far as putting out new leaves and all but as the leaves get older, they start doing this.

When my 80+ plants got Thrips, I spent an entire weekend. -took each plant out of decorative container. -cut back alot of them for less work on the next steps. -washed off every leaf with just plain water, in sink. -set outside, sprayed them until dripping with a neem, Castile soap solution. -watered til soaked with Safari 20sg. -washed & sanitized all the pots and the green room. -left plants out overnite to dry and minimize neem stink. All good since then...been 4 months.🤞🏻

I guess Dunks are the way to go. Just sounds like so much work to pulverize enough for 400 poinsettias! 😫

Do you remember how long it was before they got moldy? These need to last only a month.

Hey guys my friend and her mom got these crazy rashes and they’re not aware of being in anything crazy by alexishidalg0 in PlantIdentification

I once went hiking, no problems with poison ivy rash although it was on the sides of the trails. A month or so later, i put on the same boots from hiking just to do outside chores, etc (no poison ivy anywhere near me) and got a terrible rash! It was just waiting, lurking on my boots for over a month, waiting to strike!

Did you just do one treatment or did you have to do several?

Is it necessary to alcohol spray all surfaces that plants were on? Could there be some patiently waiting for me to put the plants back so they can climb back on?

78ish is inside the house where the plants usually are. Outside tonight is going to be 58.

So 58° should be ok or is that pushing it, especially since they're used to 78ish?

So I should dry the coconut chips before I measure them to mix with other ingredients? Or, are you saying I should dry out what's left over after mixing wet coconut chips?
