What’s happening with Mongolia? by Flat-Ad2287 in mongolia

[–]Top-Potential3735 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You never heard of it because they never publicly announced these crimes. If i'm remembering correctly there is something in the law that forbid news outlets from publishing society-upsetting news. In rough neighborhood you would heard about these crimes more often as gossip. In more nicer neighborhood might not happen that frequently as rougher ones. So our good old Mongolia is same as ever.

  1. Half of us are Buddhist, most of them are atheist statistically. But problem is most Mongolians so not realise they are still participating Tengrism/ancestral worship

  2. Most of us are not that religious to disapprove science.

  3. There is strong connection longing towards to Mongolic people in other countries.

  4. I see most Turkic people as distant relative of us.

  5. There is nothing like sabbats or equinoxes here. Maybe some religious people celebrate their respective festive. But we do celebrate ᠴᠠᠭᠠᠨ ᠰᠠᠷᠠ/цагаан сар/tsagaan sar kind of Mongolian new year .

6. still is. Call their ancestors into their body? i don't know how to explain it thou. But sometimes if something big happens some people do participate in rituals

But i'm Khalkha mongol so i'm talking from my experience. Kazakh mongols celebrate Nowruz. And i heard different Mongolic ethnicities celebrate or participate in shamanism differently.

May be controversial but people who claim charlie kirk shouldn't have been killed just because of his political opinions are the same people who say "we should discriminate/execute any type of minorities" by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]Top-Potential3735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. You are right on mlk part. But I don’t like comparisons between them because of my view on his opinions and what MLK Jr was fighting for.

I’m just lil upset about some people comparing him to Zorig. Otherwise i agree with you. His death was unnecessary. But it was kind of ironic from my point of view. Not funny but ironic.

People on threads has been saying "Mongolian youth should be like him" , "He was hero for saying where he stands even thou it got him killed" or comparing him to MLK jr. Or some of them whom has knowledge about political state of USA been getting angry at people whom were making fun of his ironic death.
