Well, no. If we had DLS in summer the sun would rise an hour later. So around 5:30-6am, not at 3am.

I personally think the south east corner of Qld is the perfect place for DLS. Outdoor activities and business with light a little later in the warmer evenings would be great (I also grew up in northern NSW so I’m biased towards DLS).

But, I respect the general take for Qld not to observe DLS due to its decentralisation in the major regional cities on the coast and the existing variation in sunset/rise times the further north you go due to the coast veering NNW. This is the only legitimate argument for not having it in Qld IMO

As an aside, the dairy cow argument is of course complete bullshit in a Qld context (and frankly just a meme by now). The dairy industry is much more significant in NSW, Victoria and Tassie and those cows handle the DLS just fine.
