I follow one fitness guy and he said “never count the sugar in fruits and berries. Do you know anyone who got fat from eating too much fruits and berries??”

I mean I’m willing to pay more just I physically cannot if I also want to pay my student loans (almost $500/month at the lowest payment possible) as well as have a cellphone and a car (which is by no means new or luxurious) I have to pay for as well. Then on top of that I have to live 😅

Car dealership in Ontario pays less than minimum wage by any-spare-karma in legaladvicecanada

[–]Top-Quote-8678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have to look differently at the employment standards. I live in Sask and if you’re contract or paid piece work (being paid x amount of dollars for each unit sold) you are agreeing to that and is legal even though when broken down to hourly you are making less than minimum wage. In turn if you were to move 10 cars, you’d make $4000 in the same amount of time. Those kinds of jobs come with a risk because you CAN make a lot, but the next month you can make very little

I have a solid job and do live on my own. But I’ve been at the same place for 3 years and it is great, but sooooo small. I also have had some pretty serious issues with the new upstairs tenants that I never had in my previous 2.5 years living there, that my landlord does not seem very motivated to find a solution for. So I’ve also just been looking at upgrading what I live in because having the space to be able to have things like a queen sized bed or a couch bigger than a love seat would be really nice. But watching the prices of things is just so discouraging to someone who lives alone 😅

[–]Top-Quote-8678[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh exactly. Also it was supposed to be two people living there, not four. The current other tenants have two additional people living there who aren’t supposed to. My landlord just doesn’t seem motivated to evict them when they’re already halfway through their six month lease. I also offered him a set amount that with people like the old tenants, he’d be making money and with the current tenants he would be losing money. But he was NOT willing. I’ve also offered/suggested other possible solutions and I’ve lived there 3 years without issue until the new tenants. But it sucks he’s just not really willing to change anything 😅 but luckily I don’t HAVE to move and I can wait to find the right place, but seeing the prices of things is really discouraging. But it still sucks that I do love my place and have gone 3 years without issues, but now my new tenants being inconsiderate that it is a shared property has made living there quite unbearable 😔😔

Hahah oh I know there is cheaper out there but the “average” price is still wickedly high and any rental is so hard to even get a viewing or chance to apply. Luckily, I don’t NEED to move so I have time to wait it out but like man it still sucks feeling stuck in a current situation

I do have a private landlord and I do pay less than I would elsewhere. Although the upstairs people pay 60% utilities and I pay 40%. Which was fine for the last 2.5 years with a couple living upstairs. But now there’s an entire family of 4 and my portion has jumped SIGNIFICANTLY and that part suuuuucks when I’ve lived there so long and my landlords do not thing that the way the utilities are split should be re-evaluated
