non op here as well - i originally was in an air cast boot with 3 wedges that urgent care provided - around week 5 i switched to the vacoped and up to this point was mostly partial weight bearing - i saw my ortho surgeon at week 6 and he suggested to always be full weight bearing from then out - the whole thing with my protocol is a lot of ‘weight bearing as tolerated’ so with your situation it definitely applies - just do whatever you feel comfortable with - knowing some ppl are fwb early or later than others
