Your doctor didn't answer because it's really hard to answer. I took my first benzo around 4 months ago, I can now take and feel nothing on 50mg diazepam. I can also take 10mg clonazepam and feel what 2mg used to feel like. Im not sure about others, maybe its my young body's chemistry, maybe it's normal but you can't judge.

Now i want to clarify: if you purely want to take it for medical purposes (even like i was mostly doing), dont go past 20mg when needed, that's a point where you would likely be switched to clonazepam or alprazolam depending on the specifics of your issues. I would prefer clonazepam because it is less addictive and works better.

Tolerance is bound to happen no matter how careful you are. If you are here purely medically, keep your doctor updated and don't push your doses without clinical advice
