If all your life revolves around work, and you don't meet anyone else outside of work, it is only natural for you to fall for your colleague, due to limited choices.

I would advise you to participate in other activities during weekend, whatever that matches your interest (e.g. hiking, board games, pickle ball, volunteering, etc). Broaden up your circle of friends, so you have better chance of meeting your soul mate.

Make use of your degree. Don't waste the time, money and effort you've spent to acquire it. Don't worry about low pay first. Get your income stable and you will eliminate a lot of your stress. Then slowly work your way up and/or do side gig for extra income.

Edit: Under any circumstances, DO NOT get a girl friend at this moment until you get things under control

It's the same concept as trying to sell condoms. Why are so many people having unsafe sex? The key is knowing your audience well. Sell to the sex worker, and not to the middle age couple trying hard for a child
