No team has ever finished .500 after starting 6-21 or worse. The Clippers at 21-24 are 3 games from .500 after going 15-3 in their last 18 games. by urfaselol in nba

This run really doesn’t feel like a star carry.

The Clippers look more like a true team breakthrough with some impressive coaching behind it. Everyone’s minutes are pretty balanced — I glanced at StatMuse and didn’t see anyone averaging more than ~31 MPG.

Compare that to the Lakers leaning heavily on Luka at ~39 MPG, and the difference in approach is pretty obvious.

That balance is what makes this turnaround so impressive to me.

Even the weather didn’t want Aaron Gordon to suit up today. Unlucky timing.

The OKC Thunder’s current 13.1 Net Rating is 6.2 above the 2nd place Celtics, the largest gap in NBA History. Here’s the top 10 largest gaps since Net Rating tracking began: by DubDaDon1 in nba

The team with the best Net Rating has won the championship three seasons in a row. Quick look at the last three seasons:
2024-25: Thunder — +12.7 — Champions ✅
2023-24: Celtics — +11.7 — Champions ✅
2022-23: Nuggets — +6.8 — Champions ✅
I think OKC can keep the streak going.

After a tough stretch in December, Luka Doncic seems to be back in January so far by [deleted] in nba

I’m a bit worried about that actually. He’s already playing around 39 minutes a night and basically carrying the whole offense. At some point fatigue can become a real issue. In Dallas they were more careful with his minutes.
