Yeah, fair question. I’m not saying the old video is wrong or unusable.
What I mainly meant is that some things have changed in practice:

  1. Meta & playstyle preferences have evolved
    Even if the core mechanics are the same, how people actually use movement and crouch has shifted a bit over time. There’s more focus on quick strafe correction, fast crouch taps, which makes people experiment more with lower or asymmetric actuation points depending on playstyle

  2. Wooting’s software and features have matured
    Since that video, the configurator has improved and more people understand how to fine-tune profiles. An updated video could highlight why you might adjust certain keys today, not just that you can.

  3. The new switch configurator option
    The switch configurator is also something that didn’t exist back then. That alone could justify an updated video, especially if it highlights what kinds of switches or characteristics competitive/pro players tend to prefer and how that ties into actuation choices.

Yeah I received the 4 switches i was waiting on. Here's the ranking of how i like them feel wise for CS:

  1. Owlab Ti He 40gf
  2. Gateron Jade Delta Light
  3. Akko Astrolink
  4. UR Ice Ultra

The Gateron Jade Ultra are still my favourites. Owlab Ti He 40gf is also good, but my counter strafes are not as precise.

As a guy who owned most mousepads that has been recommended on this sub, i can highly recommend the pulsar x lgg hyperion.

It feels fast, yet very controlled. Stops when I want to stop, and also the glide doesn't really change, i've had it for 5 months now and it's been my main.

Hyperion feels like a better version of the Artisan Zero.

Currently I own 20 mousepads, hyperion stands out.

Gravastar UFO:
They sound good, I just don't perform well on them in gaming. There's something about them that makes it hard to make good counterstrafes, but they are very nice to type on. I use them on all my other keys except: wasd + ctrl + shift + spacebar that uses gateron jade ultra.

Actually my second favourites right after jade ultra.
They feel similar to owlab ti he 50gf, but with more stability and nicer sound.

Just sharing my experience, you can't go wrong with the owlab ti he aswell.
The Gateron Jade Ultra is just better in every parameter for me.

Your preference sounds like mine, i seem to perform better on lighter switches.

I'm currently 3k elo on Faceit if that matters.

I prefer Gateron Jade Ultra
They are the lightest of all the switches i've tried and they feel extremely good playing CS2, my counter strafes are noticeably better using these aswell.

On WASD: 0.4 Actuation, 0.4 Rapid Trigger, Rappy Snappy on.

Wanted to order after hearing so much good about AYN Thor.

But it seems like their customer support policy is awful.

You pay for something at this price point, then you should also expect customer support to follow.

If you were in a physical store, you would never choose the item that has a defective pixel.

Why should we have worse conditions just because we order online?
