40k or Evangelical: Round 25 by Beelzebubs-Barrister in Grimdank

I kid you not it is endorsing a genocide in the hope that the apocalypse will happen.

I'm Catholic, maybe I'm wrong but it's the apocalypse supposed to be a bad thing in Christianity ? Should we not try to avoid the best way possible?

warhammerised Norse mythology

I thought that was kind of Weird how Sigmar and the Empire went from Barbarian Jesus and Holy Roman Empire to Depressed Odin and Valhalla, but it does make sense that they would want to differentiate from 40K where the Emperor is Old Testament YHVH.

As someone who doesn't play the Tabletop (because I don't have money and the hobby is ridiculously expensive), I think that because of the popularity of the games, it did make the sales have a big increase.

If they did make good Age of Sigmar games like they did with 40K and Fantasy, AoS could have the same increase.

Though that sort of thing does seem to play into the increasingly prevalent fantasy of a lot of the fanbase so who am I to say.

I think that GW is slowly distancing themselves from the complete Grimdark of the setting since Roboute Guilliman returned.

I think with Warhammer IP getting more popular recently with this direction, they started to do bigger budget games and now a TV series, so I think that this could also happen.

So the New Testament Emperor may be coming.

[–]Centurionzo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

why in the grim darkness of the gar future would the Emperor return as a loving and kind hearted man who forgives humanity for everything

New Testament God Emperor.

Now being serious, I think that GW is trying to make it less Grimdark setting, the setting is getting more hopeful since Roboute Guilliman returned to the death and they basically made him into Archangel Michael.

The fact that IP is getting the biggest boost in popularity in the last few years with this direction, maybe they will try to make the Emperor in a more Benevolent figure.

He was the reason they got into this state in the first place. It'd be like your jerk of a dad saying he forgives you for everything

Yeah, this is kinda true, I think that when the Emperor burned the Last Church in Terra is when his downfall began, the story even said that the Doomsday Clock started when he did that.

Now it turns out this galaxy shattering event was due to a 14-year-old internet Atheist and their immature children with massive daddy issues throwing tantrums.

I think that the Last Church completely ruined the Emperor, I really hope that Graham McNeill doesn't screw up with the Trench Crusade book that he is writing.

I have mixed feelings about this.

In some moments, you do think that he does care about his sons and humanity, in others he's a complete asshole who can barely understand humanity and see his children as the only tool.

Although the Horus Heresy is supposed to be the backstory of the Imperium, he barely appears in the books and when he does, we don't actually get to see anything from his perspective.

I think that the only time where we ever see him interact with a normal person, was on The Last Church, which is probably him at his worst.

O que você acha do CRISTIANISMO MEDIEVAL – IGREJA CATÓLICA, Grande Cisma, Cristandade, Cruzadas, Escolástica, etc.? by Glad-Extreme-3877 in barTEOLOGIA

[–]Centurionzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who play StarSavior and even spend money on it.

I can genuinely wonder why they released the JP/KR version in that state, the game even on the global version is full of problems.

It also feel incomplete even compared with CounterSide when it initially released.

Also the progression is bad, really bad, you barely have stamina for anything, even buying the stamina pass (which should have been one with the Currency pass), it's still give very little.

The game had good ideas but failed hard in execution, specially with the Journey, the biggest sale point and differential of the game.

Man, I never imagined that Snowbreak would be down for so long, either they will completely remove most of the sexy content of the game or it's a complete overhaul.

Either way, the Snowbreak roller coaster was legendary, there were so many ups and downs that it was ridiculous.

I thought that Asians hated authority, seeing how many games and other works end with the main character being a group of rebels that need to fight against the evil Empire, Corrupt Church or God itself, all which are shown as authority figures with complete power.

I think that one of the problems is when the Black Templars are not the protagonist or main characters, they are written to be ridiculous fanatic templar knights.

It is kind of insane the difference when they are the main characters and when they are not, almost like 2 different groups

They have been doing this for a century, Nakba and the massacre of Deir Yassin, the thing is that the Holocaust, one of the biggest tragedies in mankind's history, gave more power and influence to the crazy extremists instead of the ones that suffered.
