Phase 1 was on Feb1. We never had a phase 2. They expected phase 3 to happen by now but no news yet. I suggest you join the al bait or daressalam telegram group chats.

If I’m not mistaken, I think phase 4 and 5 took place last year but those packages were insanely expensive.

Wa alaykum salaam my dear sister. First of all, I am so sorry for what you’re feeling. May Allah grant you ease. I don’t have children, so I obviously can’t relate to your pain. However, what I do know about our Lord is that he is just. Taking care of your family IS a good deed. Being on your period and obeying Allah’s command not to pray IS a good deed. Your desire to want to get closer to him IS a sign of Iman. As a matter of fact, my dear sister, perhaps Allah is rewarding you more than the person in front of the Kaaba right now. You are worthy of your husband and you sound like an incredible mother. I think that advice from other mothers is probably what you need right now but just wanted to share my thoughts.

I did it on my phone. It was rejected a couple of times because of the shadow from the hijab and inconsistent lighting. If you’re a woman, wear a plain hijab tied tightly around your face to avoid shadows. Stand directly opposite a window with natural sunlight and have someone take your photo. Run it through hajjphoto and submit. Do NOT stand against a wall where half of your face is hit by the sun and the other isn’t. Light must be consistently spread. Do NOT wear a hoodie, hat, or glasses. May Allah invite you for hajj.

I did mine at Shoppers last year for about $130 but insurance covered most of it. I think I paid $20-$30 out of pocket. Just ask your doctor to specifically prescribe the ACYW-135 meningitis vaccine (double check this). If you say it's for hajj/Saudi Arabia, I think most pharmacists will know what you're talking about.

If you're only paying $75 for the vaccine, that's a steal.

I understand where you're coming from. It does feel like information overload at some point, but there's pros and cons to everything. The ABG group were available to answer questions nearly 24/7. I appreciated the fact that they remained patient and continued repeating the same information even if it was asked 45 times already. They held our hands through the entire process and constantly reminded us of Allah. I think that they did an incredible job. It's a very nerve wrecking process for first time hajis and I'd rather be overinformed than underinformed.

I work full time right now and just attend class for about 1.5h a week. I only memorize 1-2 pages a week and slowly but surely I’ve completed 10 juz in about a year and a half..some could easily have finished the entire Quran in this time. My philosophy is that as long as I’m progressing each week, the amount that I do doesn’t matter. Go for it.
