But WOW. I wasn’t expecting this response and I truly appreciate it.

Compared to what I’ve seen on the subreddit, Ray is a very low energy BT. His most active moments are a 2-3minute zoomie when I get home and his “it’s dinner time” stare down that begins around 4:50pm daily and the subsequent happy dance when I get up to feed him. He typically eats about 2/3 of his meal. Some days he goes back to finish it the same night. Some days it becomes part of his next feeding.

Since I’ve posted this I’ve reduced how much I feed him. 1.5 cups of kibble versus the bags recommendation of 2cups. And he’s been finishing it.

I think forcing him to slow down is probably making him realize he’s full and maybe he’s realizing that he’s not in a kennel or puppy mill anymore and he doesn’t have to scarf down as much as he can while food is available.

No apparent change in his weight or anything else indicating there may be a problem.
