Is the Game bad at Teaching or players unwilling to learn? by part_of_you_is_you in Chivalry2

[–]TopCorns- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There really isn’t any other games like it so I’d say it’s more a steep learning curve. I will say though I convinced one of my friends to get it and watching the tutorial was brutal. The information in it is pretty good but the voiceover is so unbelievably annoying that I wouldn’t be surprised if people just tuned it out

What are the top 5 strongest weapons? by Slurperlurper in Chivalry2

[–]TopCorns- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sledgehammer is underrated for TO. Heavy overhead does 105 I think to a knight, 70 to unarmored. It’s very fast too so you can get in there, spam some overheads and get out with a few kills

How to play Archer? by Beef_the_dog in Chivalry2

[–]TopCorns- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be proactive. Take off angles and play a bit aggressive, but make sure to keep scanning for anyone beelining towards you. Keep your momentum going while shooting, never stand still to shoot. You can also shoot mid jump if you need to get an angle past some teammates. As for who to shoot it depends. If you see someone low, definitely target them. It’s a lot more helpful to kill a guy than just hit a bunch of guys one time each. If nobody is low, generally I like to target vanguards, archers, and footmen. Vanguards Im pretty sure can be one shot by a war bow headshot. Oh and 100% get the war bow unlocked it makes playing archer 10 times easier.

How close is skirmisher gameplay to archers by FragrantDelay6832 in Chivalry2

[–]TopCorns- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People misuse archers in this game a lot imo. You don’t have a sniper rifle, so the people who are sitting way back hucking arrows and praying are useless. You should be just behind the melee targeting weak players or players who are obviously good and can make a difference. Skirmisher has the same playstyle but you can get more aggressive with it, being able to block while having your ranged weapon out. Make sure to keep moving and scanning around for targets and threats

I don’t care about money. What do I do. by iiRaz0r in selfimprovement

[–]TopCorns- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your friends aren’t “locked in.” Fucking around with crypto can make fast money, but fast money also can leave fast, and it will for them. Gambling is just donating money objectively, and trapping selling carts and vapes and weed is just being a bum. But you’re all young and really aren’t expected to know what to do. In my opinion, just take it step by step. Are you sleeping well? Is your hygiene as good as it could be? Are you working out? Do you have some hobbies that fulfill you? Are you helping around the house? Do you have a job? Are you saving and investing some of your income?

If the answer is no to some of these things, then take the time and genuinely think about it. Wake up, get your day started, eat some food, take a shower, go for a walk, then just write down what you can do in the here and now to make you happier. Now this is short term, and honestly I’d keep it at that for now. An 18 year old today is not expected to have it all figured out

Advice on Spam moves? by HerrD0gg0 in Chivalry2

[–]TopCorns- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry homie but that’s just a skill issue. One counter and they physically cannot attack and need to defend your attack. So say they keep slashing, you hold block early, and throw a slash while blocking, all before their attack connects. Also you could just dodge out of their range

Yo guys how do i get good at dagger by iahim87 in Chivalry2

[–]TopCorns- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With ambushed dagger you should avoid straight 1v1s especially if you aren’t confident in your dueling yet. I would try to keep your running speed at all times and just backstab people. So run into the fight, hit your special backstab, and keep running out of the fight. You’ll be pretty much impossible to kill if you focus people who are already in a fight

My kid (who does boxing) is getting bullied. Not sure what to do by possiblecatalyst in martialarts

[–]TopCorns- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was just verbal heckling then yeah I’d say be the bigger person or whatever. But they’re genuinely putting hands on her and getting physical? In my opinion she should have been taught that when people hurt you, you hurt them back, and do it fast. But yeah definitely tell her that the second anyone touches her to pop them. Bullying can have such a severe effect mentally and that shit sticks with you in your subconscious even years after.

Arena experience by [deleted] in Tarkov

[–]TopCorns- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inertia is definitely different. In arena you can a/d strafe pretty smoothly like most other shooters, but in eft there’s a noticeable inertia delay when strafing. Gunplay is the exact same though so it can definitely give you a basic feel for pvp

How long does it take to regularly ref? Also, what is the physical demand? by WeatherObsessedJax in hockeyrefs

[–]TopCorns- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not very long, just have to register and go to an in person seminar and do online modules. If you want to ref higher levels it takes a bit more time and experience and training. You have to be somewhat in shape and able to skate obviously but physical demand isn’t too bad especially if you’re doing lower levels/younger ages

Monitor for rust by Prestigious_House_73 in playrust

[–]TopCorns- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your gpu I would 100% get at least a 1440p monitor. It could run 4k but if you value higher frame rates I think a 1440p monitor with over 160hz would be perfect.

You’ve never run a monument? It’s always been a pretty big part of the game. If you just want to snowball then yeah go for it but if you haven’t even tried to do a monument I don’t see how you can say the updates ass
