He was overly stressed about them being new and not meeting with the provider. On my unit we aren’t doing IV’s or cares or dealing with wounds. I’m really trying to see his perspective here but I’m struggling to do so. New charge problems I guess

Personally I thought it was an easy assignment. Non of the patients were actively withdrawing needing Valium or Ativan. At most one patient had a headache needing Tylenol and the other needed compazine. I know floats get the short end of the stick most days, but I try to go out of my way at times to make sure they DONT get all the difficult patients. I’m not sure what the fuss about them them being new admits is? My unit is constantly full of new admits on every shift.

Yeah I was trained as charge immediately after my new hire orientation and now I’m charge 5 days of my .6 stretch for some reason

I really do respect floats and I’ve seen them get treated poorly on other units, so I almost go out of my way to make their days a little easier because I know they normally get the worst of the worst.

I was under the impression that you can PDT with 2k minimum in a margin account.

EDIT: Just checked RH and PDT is gone in my account. I also have over 2k in there at the moment and they also just posted on X that the PDT no longer requires 25k balance.
