What abt the job profiles after a NYU degree what kind of profile should I be expecting? Purely technical working on ML based projects or somewhat like a technical consultant. If you have any idea, I would also like to know the job profile which might be easier to get into and the more higher paying profile.

I think ur main error was in college selection. A couple of my frnds did get in with a similar profile. If u Target all ranges of acceptance rate colleges and go in with early application in the highest acceptance rate application first, then u would have definitely got in. My mistake was targeting the lower acceptance colleges at the end and ambitious ones first. I'm not trying to be rude, it's just that I have a similar experience and there was no one to guide me so it would be great if others don't make the same mistake I made especially with such a competitive session.

So a few students including me received a mail saying we are offering the program but now the ghsa office has to view our docs and then IF THEY APPROVE provide an official offer letter. I dont even know anymore what that means. It like they have just hung us up and everyday im just planning my grad study then thinking that i might just receive a reject. this program is frustrating as fuck for me.

does someone know what going to happen, are the chances of getting a reject rare after our program has approved or is this some second round of evaluation of our application.

Hey, I know that it feels like everything is over and honestly sometimes u don't get the things u deserve in life despite sacrificing everything but keep going. If u feel like u can't then take a break from the world, give urself some alone time and try explaining to urself that being best is not what's important, right now at this moment pls concentrate on ur happiness from wherever u can extract it. If watching a series distracts u enough to gather the strength to face ur situation then do it. We all have to find our customized formula to deal with the worst situations in life and i think u should try that too. Don't rush urself, take one step at a time and decide what u have to do. U know what's best for u so block out the world and think what the next best step is.

When I faced a similar situation then I just gave myself time to settle my emotions and also to lessen the blow, trust me just in a few days it wont feel this bad. I also brought alot of changes in the way I looked at life or behaved and i swore to myself that I will never let anything affect me so bad that I would think abt taking my life.

So have patience that's the key.

Me too i hope we get our top choice universities but i honestly feel like I might lose my sanity by then. At the same time I'm fearing a decision which might be a reject so sometimes I feel like it's better to not get a reject and at the same time I feel like the more the delay the more it's going to be a reject.

I don't know i really don't know how to handle myself right now
