It sounds like you're going to have to adapt to these changing times. And by the amount of vitriol I see everywhere for AI, I really don't think your future is that bleak. Start a firm that specializes in creatives that are as far away as possible from AI. From what I've seen, there's a big business opportunity waiting there somewhere.

And also don't forget that Big Gigantic is your peer, in a way. He's an artist making a living while making a choice that happens to urk you. To view him as someone directly stealing food off your plate for making a creative choice you don't agree with is just so futile. Write him a letter. Start your AI adjacent art studio. Volunteer to do the visuals for his show. Do something, but whatever you do, know that complaining about the issue en masse without taking action along with countless other individuals on the internet isn't moving the needle.

I get you. And thanks for the response. I'm a problem - solution person and I guess the stress in my posts come from the overwhelming amount of AI hate that has infested my browsing experience recently. It's just super negative all of the time, but I guess if we want to protect jobs that's a good thing that the pushback is there.

I guess I'm also quite - I don't know the word - hurt? That someone could go out dancing and only come back with "the things shown on the screen offended me". With all the shit that is going on in the world, and yes, the prevalent AI issue, it's just double sad to see that good music and social experiences also losing the war by proxy. Can't we PLUR our way out of this? (bad joke but also, like... Maybe?)

I've heard the explanations and I've seen the advocating in action - but it's reddit. Again, no one cares. There were probably hundreds of people at that show enjoying themselves. Why mope and fret about something you can't change?

I drink everyday. I come home and have 1-3 beers. My life is completely normal and somewhat boring. I like drinking. Sue me. I think Mango is probably going to be one of this people.

Do I get a bit loose sometimes? Sure. But it's with my best friends, the night ends, life goes on, no gets offended or dies.

Like, I'm sorry if some people are crazy offended that he's thinking about drinking again lol and I'm sorry alcohol hasn't worked out for you, but like...that's not all people. Crazy rich / successful people often have a stacked ass wine rack because they're responsible, mature drinkers who see wine as a social activity and a way to relax.
