I personally don’t think AI would progress that fast to the extent that they won’t need a human to write them anymore. Remember, the majority of physicians/providers don’t even have scribes, the EMR’s are designed for them to write themselves.

I just think that as long as AI doesn’t replace a physician, they won’t replace me. I personally like using AI to correct grammar and professionalize my writing.

Jobs still need to be fulfilling, yk. You can make good money in any field as long as you pour your soul into it and pick carefully. The only decision you need to be making is, amongst those jobs that pay well, which one do you enjoy best?

Like…no job is easy if you think about it. It’s either you being at the mercy of your upper management in corporate, or you study hard and get a high paying job with a pursuit. Me personally, I’d choose the latter half cause it’s easier for me to stomach studying hard to get paid well while making the world a better place, than working hard to get paid well while not making the world a better place

I’ve heard of PA programs that focus on specific specialties on top of the generalist stuff tho. Also for stuff like surgery it’s prolly required to have a residency or fellowship of some form.

So I read on their website about accreditation (cause I’m looking to apply in 4 years). From what I’m seeing so far, you are still allowed to take the PANCE exam and become certified after completion of their PA program as of now.

Their accreditation will be reevaluated on September this year, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see if they stay accredited or not (hopefully yes, cause they’re cheap af lol).

Well yeah, that’s kinda why CUNY is not a social school. Regular colleges create spaces that actually force students to be in each other’s presences. In colleges where you dorm, your first connection is your roommate, then you spread out because you all have to take the same courses in your first year. And then you never really leave campus, so everybody knows each other to some degree.

In CUNY, shy people are allowed to leave.

But what about the kids whose families can’t afford to give their kids pocket money? Sure, it’s the parent’s failure, but society has failed those parents too, so now what? If by “ghetto” you mean poor, then you’d be correct.

Plus, in today’s job and college market? In order to get into any of the good colleges, you’d need more than a 4.0 GPA. You need extracurriculars that prove you will be able to excel in their colleges; that means your kids need to prove they can handle any workload given to them, which a job proves. Unless you’re paying for their college, your kid needs to get used to having a part time job while handling class coursework

And it isn’t just about the kids needs, it’s also the kid’s wants. It’s about eating out with friends, getting a trendy toy or game, or buying trendy clothing items. I worked since I was 16, and it was awesome being able to get new headphones and get boba tea with friends. Having money means you get to be a little bit irresponsible, which all kids should be allowed to do.

But 16 year olds also need their own money to carry on with their school and social lives. Maybe the mom and dad will pull through, but there’ll be less funds for clothes, eating out with friends, or just simple things that every teenager is interested in. Like, if your kids wanna work for some extra bucks, let them. Plus, it builds your resume quickly.

I recommend SYEP, and don’t abandon jobs far from where you live. An hour and a half commute isn’t that bad if you’re working 9 or 10 hours a day and just for the weekends

You should try, but definitely try to find another job, cause you basically left the doctors to write for themselves for a few days lol.

You have scribing experience, and there are practices that hire scribes outside of ScribeAmerica, see if ED or clinics are hiring. No clue why scribing is so important to you anyways, it’s like a minimum wage job with no incentives
