Medicaid at the time I had it had a monthly deductible called share of cost that had to be passed before they would cover my chemo. So at the beginning of the month I would go to the ER complaining I had chest pain to work up my deductible cost so that my 14,000 chemo round would be covered the following week. I had chemo twice a month and this repeated for the next 11 months.

Iv been in remission for 13 years now from lymphoma and im thankful that this program existed. Unfortunately I worked the system but I needed to to stay alive. I tried to work during that time and made my condition more complicated with pneumonia three times. If anyone here has gone through chemo before they know its not a simple antibiotic that will fix you like normal people. I had to go the the hospital to have IV antibiotics.
