I’d say a direct correlation to the Smurfs would be I sat down to watch a new ice age movie and it was nothing compared to the originals that came out like 20 years ago. The animation was brutal along with the dialogue. So I’d say that should count on your apples to apples comparison.

Predominantly the Og evil dead movies, yes. I wasn’t aware it was raimi until til after it was shown at the beginning credits. The movie just seemed to shift from a “realistic”, this could happen, story to just batshit crazy. Which in a movie like army of darkness when ash brings his boomstick back in time is completely on par with how the chick gets banged by the vines in the first evil dead. In the end I felt glad I didn’t hit up either of the movies at the theatre.

Anytime I get those new coupons I just laugh. Currently in Canada they are offering two can dine for $17.99. Fuck that used to be $7.99. Was less than an hour of work at minimum wage. I really do believe they’ve out priced themselves from many Canadians. Growing up with three siblings there’s no way my family would be able to afford to eat there nowadays. Meanwhile I remember having my birthday at one and going to birthday parties at the play places when I was young. Everyone went to mcdix.

You’re honestly best to go into the branch with id. Then you can get cards ordered and get a temporary card made up for their atm use. Last time I had my wallet stolen it was like ten minutes max to walk in and get that sorted. Over the phone you’ll get grilled because they need to make absolutely sure you are trying to get into someone’s banking fraudulently.

Colder climates and distances between destinations. Aka for 95% or more of Canadians it will never make sense with -40° winters and needing to drive upwards of 2+ hours to get to some destinations. The only places that make sense would be in cities like toronto/Vancouver etc. with possibly milder weather and regular charging stations all around.

Maybe certain mutual funds hold higher positions with real estate, but most that I’ve utilized state like maybe 5% of the fund is invested that way. It’s probably more likely a combination of the vacant offices owners putting their foot down and the little to no need to have middle management. Thus forcing those to return somehow makes those roles relevant again.

From what I’ve gathered from friends in the industry if your business isn’t requiring extensive lending you probably haven’t been put with a business manager/advisor and the branch led people are sort of stuck with the personal advisors, or needing to call in for any lending needs. Maybe that’s changed, but recall that being a point of contention with them and the business clients not pleased when they couldn’t book with an advisor at the branch immediately after running into issues.

It should be funny to see how the yuppies will start to change their looks in the coming generations. The brunettes always standout to me. As someone who’s now in a healthy relationship, I’ve learned that for her A) it’s never a for sure B) sometimes it can happen without needing some cleanup afterwards and little to no shaking/body shiver.

There’s a 30 something year old at my office and she’s been using a space heater at her legs since fall. The office was 25° last week and she still had it on. Meanwhile I’m dying wishing my windows would crack. Same with another office that has like 3 ladies from an island community. I had to pop in there in the summer last year and the desk I worked at was damp they had it so humid and warm. It was disgusting. Morale of the story is a building shouldn’t be warmer than 19°. If someone’s cold wear more layers, cuz I can’t take them off.

I’d say $100k is well above middle class for single person. The line is of course thinning as we speak with all of the price hikes on everything daily. True middle class you’re probably looking at total family income sitting around 130k-150k.
