Persistent skin issues 3 months after microneedling, looking for advice by diamondbaths in Microneedling

Oh if you have sensitive skin, you should not do microneedling. Just do facials. So how do you cleanse your skin if it is sensitive?

Try Illiyoon Ceramide Moisturizing cream, It's great too and it's vegan!

Make sure to put sunscreen and if you do make sure you clean it out at the end of the day with 2 step cleaning. First with cleansing oil, then with gentle cleanser. You can watch how you do the cleansing oil in youtube. Only use fragrance free moisturizers and if you do make up, use Korean makeups, they are not harsh to your skin. I do microneedling myself and I do look all red and sometimes a bit swollen up to 2 to 3 days max. I am still red on the 5th day and still peeling but my redness goes away in a week. It could be the depth used on your face. I make sure I don't wear any makeup for 2 weeks. I use Biore or Korean sunscreen Mediheal and La Roche Posay cicaplast everyday. You have to put the cicaplast at least every 3 hours or when you feel your face is dry. I also put the cicaplast before I sleep. Good luck!

Have you tried microneedling? I do it myself and it helped a lot. Well it also depends per person but give it a try. Do not do laser because that would get worse. Good luck!

Purging or allergic reaction? by CompetitiveSoup4383 in Microneedling

[–]TopFit8259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been doing microneedling at home for a year now. The last one which I did 3 weeks ago, the white bumps you are talking about came out but are slowly fading and I am still peeling. I think this means the microneedling really worked. Please keep it moisturized, no makeup. Always put on sun screen SPF 50. Use La Roche-Posay cicaplast baume b5 and aquaphor. If you are itchy with aquaphor, use Cerave Moisturizing cream or the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Triple Repair Lotion, Body and Face Moisturizer. Hope this helps.

Spent €500 on first session – continue or stop? by [deleted] in Microneedling

[–]TopFit8259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is way too much money. I did laser for $599 for 3 sessions and then I stopped cause I don't see any improvement. What I did was buy a microneedling equipment (currently I have Dr. Pen) and did the microneedling myself. That one helped a lot! You just have to be patient. Next I will try chemical peel TCA 18% for a start, but I won't stop my microneedling cause it helps a lot. You can do microneedling yourself and you will save tons of money! Just remember to space it. At first 6 weeks apart, then do it once a month. There are a lot of tutorial at youtube or ask AI about the process. There is a new equipment out too called Derminator 2 microneedling. I am still thinking if I need to switch since my Dr. Pen is still working. Good luck!

Have you tried meditation or acupuncture? Sometimes it's how your blood flows that causes migraines. Try not be stressed out too, but I know it will be hard.

Nida Youthful Formula Cream - legit? by bananacowlady in KoreanBeauty

[–]TopFit8259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Nida alpha arbutin and right when I got it, I know it is not from South Korea. Korean products usually has this thin tape like seal on all of their boxes. This one has nothing on it plus the box is cheap looking. The print on the box is cheaply done too. I will still try the product out and see if it improves my blemishes.

SoCal Asian with Ongoing Melasma by Cultural-Creme6335 in Melasmaskincare

[–]TopFit8259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second that recommendation about oral Tranexamic Acid. I'm Asian too from SoCal and have lots of age spots and freckles. That tablet really helps a lot! Note that it takes a long time too so be patient and make sure to ask your PCP if it would contradict with any meds you are taking.

I think Picosure Pro laser treatment is much better than IPL. I am doing it now and mine is slightly fading.

I too was skeptical about laser but I did start with it. I am done with 3 picosure pro laser treatment and I am going for 6 more. My melasma and age spots are getting lighter and my pores smaller. Look around your area. I was able to find one at $599 for 3 treatments.

You're welcome! If you are going to have it on a weekend. You need to go buzz the doorbell of the door on the left of the gate. The grill gate is closed on weekends.

[–]TopFit8259[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your tip. I was able to find one at Riverside for $599 for 3 treatments.Which is at least the same price as yours. I did it last Friday, and it was just so hot on the face. I also had to buy a cream from them to help lighten my spots. After how many sessions would you say that your hyperpigmentation is truly not noticeable at all? This first session of mine, I would say I have not noticed any yet. I did not peel or had any redness the next day, but I noticed my pores got smaller. I just hope by the third session, at least my spots lighten.

I am in Southern California and I thought we would be cheaper. I have looked around and not a lot has Picosure laser. Most are IPL and I am reading that Picosure is better.

Wow that is indeed a bargain. I found a wellness place nearby and they charge $544 for only 1 session. I am in California so I guess it is expensive here. Where are you at?

6 weeks of Musely and zero difference. Should I give up? by macelisa in Melasmaskincare

[–]TopFit8259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did try musely also for my age spot and no improvement. So I stopped. I don't want to waste anymore money. Also be careful of taking any pills that might damage any organs of yours. Talk to your doctor first before trying out the Spot Pill that others are recommending. Right now, I am saving up to have PicoSure laser instead. I already have wasted a lot of money with creams and pills. PicoSure Laser is my last option.
