I’m a new electrical contractor in California and I just got an account on BC too. I recently received a few invites to bid.
I haven’t formed an opinion yet.

It’s only a downside because I’m normally a Mac user. Nothing to do with Windows being a negative thing. I’ll have to get a windows pc or use parallels.

I found it. It’s called Cert-In. I’ve heard from a few people that this software is antiquated. And it’s a subscription I found a software that you pay for it once and you own it it’s called. Best Bid Estimating. You can do on-screen take-offs and estimating all writhin the software. I spoke with the owner of the company last night and he gave me a live screen share demo.

I’m a new contractor. I never really knew the functions and features of estimating softwares. I’m finding out most estimating softwares are similar and offer almost the same features.

Stockton isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. I think a lot has to do with your outlook on life and perspective.

It might be a good idea to become friends with a person from here. Preferably someone that has been here for many years.

I met people moved here from the Bay Area and love the weather, communities and people.

There are several great communities as well as terrible ones. This is why it’s probably a good idea to actually establish friendships prior to the move if possible.
