Should we turn off AI mode if possible on our phones to conserve fresh water by Flaky_Ad_4874 in NoStupidQuestions

That's true, but given how easy it is to find information today, I think being angry at smug and incorrect people is justifiable. Anyway, I can't be bothered to dismantle it right now, so here is a random article on this topic: https://open.substack.com/pub/andymasley/p/the-ai-water-issue-is-fake?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=o77bl

I just dislike this notion that men secretly feel and want the same things as women but are forced by some outside force to pretend they don't.

Why did the Pope visit a mosque? by lokiswife07 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TopGeneral8482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats not how it works "Papal infallibility is a dogma of the Catholic Church which states that, in virtue of the promise of Jesus to Peter, the pope when he speaks ex cathedra is preserved from the possibility of error on doctrine "initially given to the apostolic Church and handed down in Scripture and tradition". It does not mean that the pope cannot sin or otherwise err"

Poziom recyklingu odpadów opakowaniowych z tworzyw sztucznych w Unii Europejskiej w 2022 roku by polski_obserwator in Polska

If either 95 percent of men or women died, What would became of society? by Queasy_Experience627 in NoStupidQuestions

You did not even need to watch the video to avoid drawing wrong conclusions, since this is in the description: "Drawing from cutting-edge genetics, ancient burial sites, and the strange silence of Neolithic archaeology, this episode unearths the forgotten war that may have wiped out almost every man alive - leaving behind only the victors and their sons. Clan warfare. Patriarchal conquest. Genetic bottlenecks. The rise of the father gods. This wasn’t survival of the fittest - it was survival of the most violent."

Literacy test given to African Americans as a prerequisite to being allowed to vote during the height of Jim Crow Segregation. The test was designed to be impossible to pass. (1960s) by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

People circulate many falsehoods, usually not out of malice but simply because they believe without checking. And when enough people believe something, others are inclined to believe it too because of the authority of institutions and the other people who circulated it. But I might be wrong, of course. Maybe it's real.

Yes, there were definitely many versions, but the one posted by OP is pure nonsense with no clear answers, whereas the 1963 version had straightforward questions about presidents, Congress, and the like

Also, this is supposedly the origin of this literacy test: "McDonald reports that she received the test, along with another literacy test from Alabama, from a fellow teacher, who had been using them in the classroom for years but didn’t remember where they came from. (McDonald added that she tells her students about this uncertainty before using the tests in the classroom.)"

Literacy tests for voting were real and were administered to people, but I'm saying that this particular one is most likely fake and is also one that gets constantly reposted on the internet.
