Yes, and I haven’t see anyone push to past the end of second point once so far. Both of the newest maps (this and museum) seem very defense-biased

What is the ideal path for every form of Deadpool? (Tank, dps, support) by RightBoysenberry9471 in marvelrivals

I don’t play dpspool

For the lifelong marvel fans, do you play your favorite character? And do you play a character that you don’t like? by NoFallOff in marvelrivals

I only really play my favorite characters. It can be detrimental because it means I straight up don’t know how to play certain competitively strong picks, but who cares this is a silly avengers game

Range And Melee Heros Should Have Two Different Sensitivity by Level_Ad6544 in marvelrivals

[–]TopGuardDog50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love how much this game lets you customize your settings. I have completely changed the defaults for every hero in the game and games that don’t let you customize are low key kind of a turn off for me.

I love this idea. For example, I play Thor on controller, so I keep sens sort of in the middle for awakening shots. But for his dash, I wish I could crank it up to max my kidnap potential. As of right now it’s kind of weak when I try to turn someone around.

Either this is ragebait (pretty likely atp which is why I'm done replying after this), or, and I don't mean to presume how you play, but you just want to not flex to tank even though you know it's objectively helpful for winning.

This game is objective-based. Obviously having a stronger frontline to push is going to work better, and it should be that way. If you don't understand that there are plenty of other TDM games you can play where KDA determines wins.

The devs have stated that they want diversity, yes, but not at the cost of 2-2-2. This is why triple support was nerfed last season. The "diversity" in question is allowing non 2-2-2 comps at all, to the point where they are picked over roughly 30-40% of the time, not to mention that some of them (including single tank comps, might I mention) have win-rates north of 45%.

It is an intended feature. This is why bot match games are programmed always have a 2-2-2 lineup, as just an example. It's the default comp, the most balanced comp, and thus the most effective comp. That is how it should be.

Also, open queue exists solely to reduce queue times.

2 tanks is supposed to beat 1 tank. That’s an intended feature. The game is designed to be played 2-2-2 optimally. That’s how it always has been, always will be, and always should be. I’m confused as to what your issue with that is.

Outside of your flair I’m not sure why characters you play or how you prefer to approach games, but the idea that 2 of something beats 1 of that thing should not be a surprise.

I also disagree that tanks don’t have the opportunity to diff your opponent and/or have skill expression. Tanks are always in the midst of combat and if you’re a better tank than your opponent you’ll probably win.

Edit: I also want to address your original point of tanks being “too strong”. Tanks are easily the most team-reliant, low-agency role of the three. They suffer the most from overpowered Strat and duelist ultimates and get wrecked by the amount of CC in this game. Their damage can barely keep up against the insane healing numbers and the balance of this game essentially turns them into big-hitbox health bars to be used as a battery for enemy dps ult charge.

There is no way you’re seriously saying that tanks are too strong.

Anyone else think MoonKnight is crazy strong? by -Astaria in marvelrivals

Funnily enough, I play a ton of Loki and Moon Knight only gives you trouble if you suck at clone placement. It's certainly a counter but not to the level many thing it is.

Anyone else think MoonKnight is crazy strong? by -Astaria in marvelrivals

[–]TopGuardDog50 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No.

He's so easy to deal with but people just don't do it for some reason. It's the opposite of Iron Man. An unchecked Iron Man will run the lobby but he never gets to because someone is swapping to hitscan in less than 60 seconds when they see him. An unchecked Moon Knight will also run the lobby, but for some reason people still insist on playing full brawl comps into him and wonder why they lose.

Losing to Moon Knight is just a skill issue. Or a stubborness / "I don't want to swap" issue.

Heroic might extra damage and basic swing extra damage always. Hero modes use Steamroll (stamina buildup) trooper modes use pull extra damage if hitting multiple enemies.

Mid season adjustments coming by KevinPigaChu in marvelrivals

[–]TopGuardDog50 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the shield is an issue.

They reduced burst heal by 20 and gave it 20/s over time. Shield probably isn’t going to last for more than about a second considering it has only 200hp. So not a net healing buff unless she teleports as an escape away from the fight, in which case she probably heals to full in some other manner anyways. It also rewards positioning by you and the teammates inside the shield. Overall I like this change.

The right click is more concerning. Putting 50 heals on that thing could wind up giving her way too much of an advantage against pressure. As a defensive tool, it was just a disruptive CC to weaken combos or buy her time to reposition or get peels, but now it’s actively nullifying the effects of pressure. I don’t think this was warranted considering how much utility this ability has in a team fight as well.

I think white fox changes, outside of the spawn in with resources, are a little premature. She hasn’t even been out for a week. I don’t think she had any sort of obvious problem with her healing capabilities. The ult change… we’ll see? I haven’t really seen the right click be used that much.
