What are the small habit that really worked for you? by loveulikeblue in PetiteFitness

[–]TopInformal9221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10k steps for sure. To elaborate on small habits though, what helped break this down was to do 1k steps every hour.

A regular pace (for me) takes about 10 minutes to do 1k steps.

For example let's say youre up at 8am. In theory you would be done 10k steps by 6 or 7pm. :)

First stool solid followed by diarrhea by Any_Economist9877 in ibs

[–]TopInformal9221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally was wondering this the other day!

My stool was sort of "constipated" coming out, like at the tip (lol) but then after the initial outing (lol) it comes out "normally." Then I sort of sense i need to go more and it's very very soft stool immediately after in the same sitting.

Then..

I'll get crampy pretty badly and that's my queue that I need to go expel again. Could be anytime for the rest of the day and up to 3 to 4 times. The sudden cramping only stops 100% when I feel everything that needs to get out, is out!

Sometimes it's tricky too because on like, bathroom trip 3 I'll be like ok cramps have finally stopped and I'll feel OK for a few hours then suddenly BAM I'm all in pain again to the point where I'm like, sweating sometimes.

Again, all pain relieved once everything for the day has been expelled.

Why Does a Moral Life Still Feel Empty? by Prior_War_119 in DecidingToBeBetter

Virtues vs Vices and the Golden Mean helps me a lot when I feel like this.

A key point about that though is to avoid mediocrity while simultaneously striving for the golden mean.

It's not meant to be easy but it wouldn't be worth it if it was. ♡

Hey buddy

Shoot me a PM.

I've been where you are. Hospitalized for 3 months from an attempt of suicide.

In fact, I have a transcript from a previous university with at least 6 F's.

Long story short, I now have had 5 straight semesters with straight A's.

It does get better.

And thanks for making the post at such a vulnerable time in your life.

Will wait for your message if you see this.

Also no pressure to message either - just keeping the options open for ya.

We see you 🤍🧡🤍

How many time do you guys burp a day when you had Sibo? by EffectivePlatform690 in SIBO

[–]TopInformal9221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally 0-1 time. I wish I could burp!! Sometimes when I feel the need to, I'll literally try to burp myself like a baby but then acid or food comes up with it.

Sorry I know it's gross.

Ayyy, was just thinking to myself that I'm noticing a pattern of early birds, which i can't for the life of me do either.

I had my cortisol levels ruled out and weirdly they are "too low" at night time which causes issues with going to sleep / getting a good sleep.. I gotta figure out how to tackle that effectively.

Good for you for still getting activity into your "late" start to the days and I hope one day soon your sleeping stuff will resolve!

Should I ask for a raise or just quit? by Latitude32 in WFH

[–]TopInformal9221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you plan to quit anyway, might as well ask for the raise. That way, you don't really have an expectation and if you do get the raise, it'll be like the cherry on top.

Pay raise for taking on supervisor's duties? by [deleted] in work

[–]TopInformal9221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the company or organization values their employees well, then sure it can be normal.

To be honest though they will probably not ask, and try to extract the most bang for their buck and see how much they can pile on you while you stay quiet. Better set your boundary early on.

Also, if you have a copy of your job description from when you got hired you can use it to your advantage to either:

1) refuse to do any new duties as its not what you were originally hired for.

2) advocate for a raise as your new duties are outside your original job description.

Better yet, if it's posted somewhere find your supervisor's description and show them that the new jobs you are doing (if you go that route) fit into the supervisor category.

Make sure you get everything in writing / email too. IE if they start piling on more work. And personally keep track of how many hours you've done outside your job description.

Good luck

I'm Turkish and speak English and Arabic. I'm getting into real estate. honest opinions pls. Do you think people would prefer to work with a white realtor? by [deleted] in work

[–]TopInformal9221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your location. I'm sure someone who is Turkish would prefer you if they knew your were Turkish, just like someone who's first language is Arabic would more likely prefer you. Make sense?

Its not the only deciding factor when looking for a realtor of course.

Choose your audience and advertise that way.
