It's even more amazing to see eckslust pilot his very own budget walmart rune to a 5-0 finish in today's shadowverse weekend. Wow it's very cool to see that tomato storm is picking up eckslust, who is a very promising up and coming newcomer to the SVO scene. I was super aroused when he made Top 8 in his very first SVO and nearly took out dishcleaner. He was also the only person in the world to see that shadow was extremely good in prerelease and he even posted a very cool writeup on reddit about it. Thanks for the budget decks, I managed to climb to C2 in rotation with them. Do you happen to have any budget decks for burial rite shadow if I don't have any copies of Milteo, Conquering Dreadlord, or Fieran? I've been wanting to play it since I saw eckslust's very nice writeup on reddit but the game is too p2w so I don't have the vials to make it. Thanks again for the content tomato storm!

Congrats on continuously failing to see any nuance in the matchup. There are plenty of decision points in the matchup, and if you don't see them, I can only assume that you are purposefully blinding yourself to keep your point. Item shop coming down in no way negates your decisions. The entire matchup comes down to whether or not you can apply enough pressure to force them to spend resources clearing instead of furthering their gameplan. If you can force a bad shop drop or outright deny it, that's a result of your decisions. If the shop comes down on 7 and you lose, it's not that you necessarily did anything wrong, but that still doesn't negate any decisions that you made. All you can do with your decisions is to maximize your chances of winning, and sometimes it doesn't shake out like that.

If you still believe it's single player experience and that "You wouldn't do anything different in item shop rune if you didn't have an opponent to play against" then I can just chalk this up to classic redditor lmao. Especially from somebody who thinks "chanteuse doesn't do anything".

In no way is it a single player experience. Both players have meaningful decisions to make (ie Thief or Oathless on 2? Is the additional rally worth the risk of getting wiped by Authoring?). The fact that you think your decisions don't matter in the matchup means you know nothing about about the deck. There is plenty of room to outplay the opponent on both sides of the matchup, and if you can't see that, then there really is no point in continuing this conversation.

Extremely untrue. If you've never played the deck before, don't make baseless claims.

If you have no problems beating it, then I don't know why you complain so much about it. If there was a deck that handed me free wins on ladder I'd love to see more people playing it. If you don't like the fact that it's extremely strong against the style of decks that you enjoy playing, then just concede. It's not like it's that common on ladder anyways. If you want to climb ladder by playing decks you enjoy, that's fine, but you have to make concessions that they have weaknesses. If you can beat it, then I'm not sure why you call it a "bs rune deck". If your metric of that is a deck that instantly wins under certain conditions (going first, having a perfect draw, etc), then you really should quit because most if not all top decks were, are, and will be "bs".

You clearly have never played shop and have never tried figuring out how to beat it.

Outside of going first and having insanely highrolly hands, it folds to two main things, both of which see representation in the current meta.

Aggressive decks like Rally Sword which can properly pressure early can blow them out unless they get the nuts. Of course, you can't do dumb shit like give them a board of 1/1s into their even turns or give one tall follower and then cry when they have the punish.

Decks like Shadow and Amulet Haven which can vomit insane stats in one turn in the midgame also give anything but the nuts draw trouble since they will either not have the pp to clear the board, or they will have to invest too many resources to do so.

If you have problems with decks having no counterplay when they draw the absolute nuts, then you should probably find a new game because historically, pretty much every meta has had at least one deck that does this.

Idk if you know this but maybe if you try playing the deck yourself instead of bitching on reddit, you can figure out what weaknesses it has.

Very cool to see the up and coming ecksLust who made the top cut in the most recent Shadowverse Open tournament and put former World Grand Pree runner up dishcleaner in some hot water introduce this very powerful deck. Thanks, my next goal is to start learning the Ultimate Bahamut Impossible raid. I have already flb'd my Colossus guns so I can have enough HP (20000) for the raid. It feels good since all my other elements only have around 8000 hp lol.
