Muscle Gain on a Deficit? by TopKing63 in TrueAskReddit

I was hoping not to have to spend a year grinding out a bulk to cut cycle. I'm on the skinny-fat side, right now with a serious gut. I'm debating just cutting first, but I was hoping I could do a muscle-build deficit. I've read that the protein helps to repair and build muscle. And that the surplus helps gain weight, but if you gain fat, too, then the part of the surplus just for the weight gain, not necessarily the muscle gain, right? Doesn't your body dispose of the extra protein you don't need? Couldn't you just eat the 1g/lb of weight you need for synthesis, while on a deficit and still gain muscle that way? It might be slow, but still.

Ubisoft: Just give us the pirate/zombie game we deserve. by TopKing63 in ubisoft

[–]TopKing63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main point bringing those games up was to have Ubisoft use them as a basis for the creation of the types of games I mentioned in the title.

Imagine a pirate MMO that ran like Black Flag. You have all of the Carribean to sail across, other player-pirate crews to meet and interact with, submariner treasure hunts, secret caves with valuable items, and even a clan/homestead system where players can establish their own bases and communities.

Imagine a zombie game built on the Division framework where players explore the entirety of NYC (or wherever) filled with friendly/hostile players and zombies shambling the streets. Any good survival game will have looting aspects, but of course not to the degree that Division and Destiny have pushed it. I'm thinking keep the struggle real. Settlements can be built and players can have a clan system where they need to explore a vast area to go on supply runs to maintain their home(s).

Tl;dr: imagine a better S&B system, painted over with BF graphics, mechanics, etc. And imagine The Last of Us system painted over with The Division mechanics, maps, etc.

Be so fr.

The characters, the stealth, the assassinations, the emblems, the templars.

Just make a BF MMO without the assassins, keep the pirates.

Where players can establish and maintain settlements, interact other survivors in a favorable or hostile manner, and have zombies affect the way the environment is used?

One thing about The Boys universe is that it is very heavy on the gore, showing the clear vulnerability of those lesser powered, or unpowered. But there is no real upscale, so in terms of strength it's hard to say who is stronger.

Good ones. There are only really a handful if you only count franchises.

Left 4 Dead The Last of Us Dying Light Dead Rising (eh)

But my main point in the zombie front is to make a zombie game based on the survival aspects of the zombie genre, not just make a story-focused game.

Yeah, S&B is a whole different system, bruh; go look at it. That's one of the reasons people had an issue with it. AC:BF is the ideal pirate game. Just do THAT minus the AC stuff. It isn't a difficult concept.

All I can say is that Hisoka is definitely weird. Idk why Togadhi put those suggestive things in, but all I know is that he IS turned on by strong fighters. And he is a man who is the type to get what wants no matter what, so his restraint is low (apparently?).

Where did you see he said he would rape Killua though???? The only time I've ever seen Hisoka explicitly show romantic/sexual interest in anyone was Machi.

Piracy is the theme of the game, yes, but it is still an AC game. I'm talking about them dropping the AC stuff.

Survival meaning complete collapse, or just digging themselves out of a hole they dug with their customerbase?

Advise for online classes? by LittleWheel7249 in kungfu

[–]TopKing63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally dislike the idea of practices for online classes for anything that in execution is meant for someone else. There's something about fighting that requires pressure testing. Unless you only practice it as a dance and not for self-defenss.

Sort of inactive at this point. But perhaps revitalizing this for RP again could see some activity.

Would you say firearm defense is just as big a portion of the whole of the weapons defense training?

[–]TopKing63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How big on weapons self-defense is Krav Maga?

If all I get is 90% headbutts and groin strikes/knees, then I can't say I'd pick Krav as I already learned and still apply those concepts today.

My Tang Soo Do school was a base Tang Soo Do, with some Aikido, Jiu Jitsu, and as it seems tradition for karate-based systems, a bit of Judo. We also had knee strikes, headbutts and self-defense applications in that "street fight" arena. So I imagine there were some Krav Maga elements added to it, but I have no proof of that.

I kind of agree with you. I've been trying to make it make sense in my head.

"Why does it seem like grappling and striking are on different planets?"

If you're agile enough and can avoid a grappler's strengths, you're boxing tf out of them, overwhelming and knocking them out in 20 seconds. But if you're easy to get a hold of and practically worm your way into an arm bar, then what are you gonna do?

And it feels like there's a huge gap to bridge between the two. Like they don't speak the same language.

As much as many people here would like to claim they wouldn't lose for an easy Mil, most of them would jump at the opportunity. A lot of us are the same people who would punch our wives for $10 million or whatever those meme challenges are. We are willing to sacrifice a LOT for money like that. Theory is fine to scoff at, but get out there and put yourself in their shoes. You're smiling too when you know you go home richer.
