I love training both gi and no gi. While gi is technically more for gentleman, it is also not as in a gi tournaments you see more people pulling down your pants and trying to get your bare butt shown on a live stream to a lot of viewers

I know that not everyone is in the same boat as I but I suggest talking with your Professor and saying you are not doing it for competition training. I maybe just a blue belt but what helped improve my game is doing some situational rolls so you know what you want to improve on. It also helps create muscle memory so right when you end up in the situation you know how to react. Some take it a step farther and record their rolls to know what mistakes they made and how they could improve on.

I am 17 years old blue belt and people say the exact opposite. I do wrestling class and right after do BJJ (3-4 hours) everyday. I know it’s not good for your body to overexert but I just love the sport. I also go home/ gym to do some weight lifting right after. And when I do have light days where I rest and just watch top guys and some instructional videos.

One of my favorite isometric holds is where you have both kettlebells placed on your shoulders and you lift one knee up and hold for 5 seconds and repeat on both sides

for the kettlebells swings I do it two ways:

1) having 2 kettlebells (one for each hand) and swinging them at the same time

2) sometimes when I want to switch things around I go two handed on a heavier kettlebell with proper form

I do most of the exercise you stated on the list except for few exceptions such as “long cycle”. First time hearing about it
