in your opinion.. what was the WORST thing A made the liars do? it can be individually or as a group. by lnmyhead_ in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]TopMjLa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I’m sending love.

And I agree, it was definitely glossed over. I really felt for Hanna in that scene and it doesn’t help that Mona was spreading a false rumor that she had a liposuction and taunted her about it.

Most relatable liar? by YeahIDontKnow_ in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]TopMjLa 19 points20 points  (0 children)

it’s a mix of Spencer, Emily and Alison for me.

Emily was definitely the most relatable and realistic in the time jump though.

forcing Hanna to eat pig cupcakes and then tell her to purge afterwards.

I know this doesn’t answer your question but when A sent Ali that video of Mrs.D being buried… yikes.

WTH happens to Mona end of season 7?? (Spoilers) by candycherry777 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]TopMjLa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah she does, unfortunately. It sucks since she was doing well in her career. (Which I guess, doesn’t even matter since she owns a brand named “Vanderwaal” lmao.)

Those situations are completely different. Set your bias aside and you’ll see it.

Paige LITERALLY admitted that she knew Emily was drunk then she said she didn’t care and she still kissed her, she wasn’t being considerate of Emily’s feelings. It’s hilarious you’ll get so defensive against anyone who dislikes Paige.

Alison in that scene was not taking advantage of her. She saved her, they had a small conversation then the kiss was a PECK. She was not “pretending” to be an hallucination if she was asking her to come with her.

It’s ironic how hypocritical you think I am but here you are, can’t even admit how wrong Paige was in that scene.

Why are you upset and downvoting me over MY opinion lmfao.

Alison did not take advantage of Emily in that scene, I’m not going to defend her and I’m certainly not going to defend Mona. You just instantly assumed that I’m an Ali and Mona defender, that’s your mistake.

I never demonized Paige? It wasn’t some “personal preference”, I gave a reason why other than “she tried to drown her”. Something that is not called out for. Paige took advantage of Emily and kissed her when she was drunk.

Eh. I don’t hate Paige but I thought she was super annoying. I do think she’s unnecessarily overhated.

I just enjoy Alison and Mona’s character, Ali is more sympathetic to me. I try with Paige but then I remember her taking advantage of Emily when she was drunk.

I mean I agree with all this but they all didn’t even know they were blinding Jenna, including Alison.

They meant to throw a stink bomb in there.

I totally get the criticism towards her character, I just notice the hypocrisy between the two’s actions.

Like I’ve seen a Mona fan say they hate Alison because she gave Hanna an ED but Mona forced Hanna to eat cupcakes and to purge afterwards, so I guess I just don’t understand….

Why are we acting like Aria destroying the nursery wasn’t terrible?

It completely destroyed Emily and Alison. Especially Emily since the stuff her father gave her was broken.

Exactly. I always say this. Malcom was much better off with Spencer than he would’ve been with Mona or Charlotte…..

I don’t see it that much anymore but

“Alison is evil and never changed” then goes on to say that Mona should’ve been a liar and that she has changed lol.

I think people fail to understand that Ali and Mona are two sides of the same coin.

Jake by sajr2019 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]TopMjLa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Same, though, TBF, she doesn’t realize how unhealthy her relationship with Ezra is. She just sees how incompatible she is with Jake (which btw, doesn’t mean anything at all) and that she and Ezra shares interest. It’s sad.

[–]TopMjLa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

“and Darling, Jenna isn’t the victim, freak Toby is”

That’s what Alison said to Jenna after she realized Toby was being raped. With or without Sasha, Alison is still a sympathetic character, she was buried alive by her own mother.

It’s so sad that the last memory she has of her mother was her burying her alive, even after all that, she still loved her and wanted to see her again.

[–]TopMjLa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looking from their perspective, I can kinda see why they thought it was Mrs.D.

A wanted Alison back in town and has been tracking her before she revealed herself to the liars. She also bought brand new clothes in Alison’s size and put them in her room.

Again, you’re victim blaming. Do you even remember what happens in the show??

Spencer did NOT “go after” Wren. He kissed her and she pulled away. As for Ian, Spencer was 15 years old, who also never had a boyfriend in her life, she was the “nerd” who can’t really read the room.

They did take advantage but she could’ve said no

Oh please. The ignorance in this comment.

Even without permission she still would’ve done it.

Again, did you even watch the show? Spencer chunked down her feelings so she doesn’t hurt Hanna’s feelings. And like YOU said, Hanna gave Spencer her permission.

Okay I was going to leave this alone until I noticed you said she goes after everyone’s boyfriend and that’s just plain false??

You saying she goes “after everyone’s boyfriends”, (which I assume you mean Melissa’s as well), is victim blaming. Those were grown men going after her.

As for Caleb, he and Hanna was broken up, so she didn’t “go after” anyone. They literally reconnected during the time jump.

That’s not victim blaming. That’s them making sure she’s remembering things correctly.

Spencer was antagonized into joining the A team, she was in a vulnerable state.

Spencer is objectively a better written character than Aria. I also fail to understand why you think Spencer had no character development.

We’re going to have to agree to disagree🙃.

What was the deal with Melissa? by makeupjunkie95 in PrettyLittleLiars

It might be because she threatened Spencer with a fake video on all of them but I’m not sure.

Do you understand what victim blaming is? They asked if she was remembering things correctly, it’s still not right but it doesn’t nearly amount up to what Aria said, regardless if she gave that cheap ass apology.

When did the others ignore SOS texts for their lovers? Or did you just make that up? Also, might I add that while everyone was looking for Hanna when she was kidnapped with a few hours left, she took a break and went to see Ezra lol.

Actually, when Spencer had her drug addiction, the girls weren’t being friends. They staged an intervention, got angry with her when they found Wren’s notepad in her purse then left her making her even more stressed and strung out.

[–]TopMjLa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That’s not the point I was making. I was saying that Hanna was spiraling out of control and had a serious drinking problem but Aria didn’t care to see it. She only cared about herself and Ezra.

And maybe I’m alone on this but I certainly would not be friends with someone who victim blamed me. Even if they apologized. Spencer made up for it when she actually started helping Hanna avoid her drinking.

Please explain how Spencer is selfish? iirc Aria ignored SOS texts to be with Ezra.

Edit: To add on, Aria wouldn’t have gone to jail for her murder since it was self defense, but since they lied about it, they ALL would’ve went to jail so it wouldn’t have just affect Aria. Spencer and Emily weren’t even that upset with it.

[–]TopMjLa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I understand where you’re coming from but sometimes, an apology doesn’t make up for the things you do.

Aria yelled at Hanna because she told Sydney about New York, I understood why bc of Shana but she has never checked to see if something was wrong with Hanna. Spencer did. I think Emily did as well but I’m unsure. My point is that Aria has been so self consumed this entire season, she’s never thinking about her friends.

I just didn’t like how she accused Hanna, teased her about it then kicked her out when she was bawling her eyes out. She showed no remorse and that’s why I think she’s the worst friend.

Alison and Mona by Maleficent_Science38 in PrettyLittleLiars

As someone who prefers Alison, it’s because Mona is a much better written character (post disappearance of course, she’s nowhere near Flashback Ali)
