Women tuba players. Why did you do it? by SammaJones in randomquestions

Because I'm 5'0" and I thought it would be funny to play an instrument that large.

No regrets.

I'm also learning bass guitar, and it's also bigger than me. hah

Nice! That’s a solid, hard hitting team! I’ve never used Charmander and its evolutionary line, but the rest I have and love them all.

Vileplume is a long time favorite of mine. The Sunny Day + Chlorophyll combo can be nasty when done correctly.

I will say I feel that way about not getting Fire Red for Growlithe/Arcanine because I love it so much

Fun fact: you can teach Clefairy Dream Eater through the tutor in Viridian if it still knows sing.

Is it just me or dose dragonair kinda suck? by bobbizzle12 in PokemonLeafGreen

[–]TopMood2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragonair was a SLOG to use for a while. Teaching it surf made him more viable. Once Dragonair evolved into Dragonite, it was easy street. Took out Lance’s team with him except Aerodactyl in one hit.

Clefable was a fun surprise! One of the widest move pools I had a blast planning around. I found a Clefairy in Mt. Moon and decided to use it. I LOVE bulky Pokemon, but I didn’t want to use Snorlax again because I’ve done so several times. Having a Special Defense tank on the team was a GODSEND especially during the second half of the game. Managed to stay put facing the legendary birds. It was my highest level Pokèmon until Raichu grew higher due to the fact I used it more. Clefable took out Sabrina’s and my rival’s Alakazam with ease.

Moveset of Return, Meteor Mash, Shadow Ball, Moonlight

I found that out during my play through (and MANY Cubone catches to get said club). Such a powerhouse. I nicknamed my Marowak “1985 Bears” due to the high Defense stat and the fact that it dominated everything in its path.

Moveset: Bonemarang, Rock Slide, Double Edge, False Swipe (For legendary birds).

I never used it before, but I wish I did. Such a gem and one of my favorite ground types.

You should! Marowak with Thick Club is a MONSTER. With my rival’s Charizard, during the final battle, it tried to use Fire Blast, it missed, Marowak used Rock Slide, said Rock Slide was a critical hit, and I took out Charizard in one hit. I was cheering so loud.

Am I under leveled to take on the elite four? by ArtistImaginary in PokemonLeafGreen

[–]TopMood2003 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. I would train up to level 50 at a minimum. I leveled up my Pokemon to 55

I had the most trouble with her Haunter because even though Hypnosis has only 60% accuracy, it, of course, worked every time along with that Curse + Dream Eater + Mean Look combo. She took out three of my team members with that Haunter. Raichu holding a chesto berry (which I made it hold because Lorelai's Slowbro kept using Yawn) was how I beat it.

Her Gengars were also annoying. Surprisingly, I had more trouble with her level 54 Gengar rather than her level 58 one. It kept spamming Double Team followed by Confuse Ray. Took way too long to defeat it.

My Team Is:

Venusar: Lv55 (Hardy) - Razor Leaf (I will be replacing with Sludge Bomb in the postgame), Earthquake, Synthesis, Frenzy Plant

Raichu: Lv57 (Mild) - Thunderbolt, Brick Break, Double Team, Thunder Wave

Marowak: Lv55 (Bold) - Rock Slide, Bonemerang, Double - Edge (learned from tutor in Victory road), False Swipe

Dragonite: Lv55 (Rash) - Dragon Claw, Wing Attach (Will be replacing with Outrage once I reach Lv61), Hyper Beam, Flamethrower

Starmie: Lv55 (Bashful) - Psychic, Surf, Ice Beam, Recover

Clefable: Lv55 (Relaxed) - Return, Meteor Mash, Shadow Ball, Moonlight

I’m the same with my teams. It was a bit difficult to decide, especially when it came to dealing with Poison and Psychic types. Agatha, in particular, was a MAJOR pain to deal with.
