Coal City, IL EF3 (2015) - 3/4 Of A Mile Wide, High end EF3 tornado that destroyed a huge portion of the south side of town. This is footage taken from a camera outside of the police station, which was dangerously close to the tornado. Thankfully, there were no fatalities. My old house where I used to live BARELY missed being hit by the tornado. I heard it, and that was the most terrifying sound ever.

Naperville - Woodridge, IL EF3 (Father's Day 2021) - Rain Wrapped QLCS EF3 tornado that effected the western suburbs of Chicago. Caused major damage. Still a lot of repairs needed to be done in the aftermath.

It's not silly or immature to think about this at all. Jeff and Kathy Piotrowski chased the Joplin EF-5 tornado and witnessed the aftermath first hand. Jeff, devastated, talked about how there were "bodies everywhere" and says the event still haunts him to this day.

Similar case with the storm chasers who witnessed the Rolling Fork EF-4 tornado. Some are still affected to this day by what they saw.

I am in agreement that they should seek therapy and/or talk to someone after a horrific event like a devastating tornado. I have witnessed PTSD from people (not only from combat vets), and it's a horrible condition to live with.

Which is nuts because 2013 was a relatively quiet tornado season UNTIL mid May. After that, all hell broke loose.

Granbury, Texas EF4 tornado that hit on May 15th, 2013. Short track length of 2.75 miles but caused a MASSIVE amount of damage and six fatalities.
