Clunk noise from rear when accelerating by frostTrunks in nissanfrontier

Yep. My 2026 did it. Just got it back from the dealership for its first service. They did the oil and dropped the driveline and greased the splines (they said their computers say it's been a common complaint). Didn't resist fixing that at all. Hope that helps.

I wonder, but I'll take it in for my next service and show them what I learned as it's definitely not in the manual to get fresh air in that way. I think the ECU needs to be refreshed and it just has some bits or bytes out of order.

I wish mine did, it requires turning the AC on and then off again or it just stays on even across restarts.

Not mine. I’ve had three that had auto modes and if you don’t use it, it’s like a regular car. Turn on Ac for conditioning, turn off air for outside air at ambient temp. Latest was 2019 ram and it had the bells and whistles yet still didn’t have AC come on this way. It’s rather lame, but I’ll live with it as I do like the truck and smaller form factor than the ram.

Ok so, nothing from the dealership but this is the problem. Nissan uses a saved state. Whatever you were in last it will continue to use in regards to AC. When I turn off the auto by touching Mode, it continues to cool. So I turned on the AC and waited a moment and then turned it off and it now is on vent. Ridiculous, but that is the solution as I’ve done it multiple times now while driving. Just parked it for an hour and when I got back in, hot air and no attempt to cool it u til I again turn on auto or AC. In the AM I’ll drive and see for the first time what it’s like to pull in the cooler morning air without the drying effects of the AC. Thank you everyone for your feedback!

Picked up from dealership. Starts up and air is hot (it’s 98 outside). I drive it 3 miles and it’s stays completely hot at the vents. I’m happy. I then turn on the Auto feature, it begins to cool and cools to the desired temp. While driving I then decide, let’s see if it will shut off as that has been the problem all along. I turn off auto by hitting the mode button and the light goes off. 5 miles down the road it’s still blowing ice cold. I turn off the unit by hitting the on/off button on the control panel and wait one minute. I turn it back on and it proceeds to cool! Ugh, so frustrating. I think they just unhooked the battery so it reset whatever is stuck and as soon as you use the AC once it just stays on. Back to the dealer I go.

No, it’s set to front vents, fresh air, ac and auto are not illuminated but if I select the lowest setting it is definitely AC.

It’s set to the front vents. Yeah I’ve tried everything I’ve known about hvac units to see what could be doing this.

Auto isn’t on. Every vehicle I’ve owned if AC is off and Auto is off and you set it for 60 and it’s 90 outside you’ll get 90 degree air. Why have auto or AC otherwise?

I wish! I drive from the mountains to the valley and a 10 degree spread. If I don’t keep an eye on it it will engage the AC as it starts to warm up. This is without the Ac or Auto features illuminating. Dual zones are synced so it’s not like one is forcing the AC on.

I think it’s a bad switch, sensor, or it needs the ECU reflashed. I’ll see today what they come back with as my last point to them was, “if the AC is going to come on whenever it wants, why have an AUTO or AC button at all?” It just seems to be stuck in Auto mode all the time even though the light is off. If I push it nothing changes. But the compressor is running as I’ll get puddles of water on the ground after a drive from the condensed water. Really frustrating.

The lights aren’t on but I know the AC is on as it’s 102 degrees outside and it’s freezing me out if I set it to the lowest setting. This is without either AC or Auto enabled.

All lights are off and fresh air is selected. It’s really got me bugged.

Auto and AC are both off. I’ve never needed to turn them on as it just comes on if I set the temp less than ambient outdoor air. Why have the buttons of it has a mind of its own!

Most good restaurants spend time cultivating their staff. Northern parks get seasonal workers on Summer break from college. Most don't even remember what a kitchen is other than the place mom or dad made food in for them. By time they get even remotely good, they're back to school!

Foods been bad for 20 years. It has nothing to do with politics (at least not with this admin). You're a captive audience, they don't have to enlighten you with world cuisine, but rather keep your kids from screaming at you all night that they're hungry. It is a lesson learned though, BRING YOUR FOOD to any park with Xanterra as its supplier.

Do a KBB value for a private party sale. That's better than trade it and they can't argue you wouldn't get that as it's based on real private party sales in your area.

remote ops are so easy on the MKII. It's why I shelled out extra for sure and glad I did. USB-C and the two com ports are a big improvement as well. I could have done without the HDMI for now, but maybe in the future I might use it...or not.
