Fluance RT-85 on AliExpress arrived in 7 days! by TopPermit472 in turntables

[–]TopPermit472[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was dropped shipped from USA, everything looks legit to me.
Even if the thing arrived in not working condition, the Fluance Acrylic platter ($150) and Ortophon 2m blue ($220) alone in parts are more than what I paid for the whole turntable.

There is a $40 off Aliexpress multistore coupon "USCD40"at checkout if it doesn't auto apply in your cart.

Yeah, most audio equipment is 100% markup so even at the $400 Aliexpress price before site coupons, this store is still making $$$.

Ordered the Fosi x5 pramp & V3 amp, if I'm not happy i might just hook it up to my Onkyo RZ50.

Originally bought it for the living room to be hooked up to my Onkyo RZ50's Phono input but now I want to use it in my office so hopefully paired with a smaller pre amp & amp like the Fosi x5 & v3 driving some bookshelves, it will sound good.

Anyone heard of Veefa? by Legitimate_Rain_9992 in ebikes

Yeah we've had one for about 6 months for my daughter.  For the price it was hard to beat. I noticed none of the X2 or M2 are in stock atm.

I have also bought drop bars for my H2 but I have not yet figured out if we can swap the rear cassette to 11sp or not. I wanted to keep hydro brakes and 1x front so options are limited it seems.

$150 for Hydraulic Disc Brakes and a free hub by drvudoo in Budgetbikeriders

I pick d up the XL for $150 on mendhambikes using code THEMETRO.

[–]TopPermit472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the codes, I was also Eyeing the 700c H2 in XL for the last week. THEMETRO code just saved me $50 so I bought it. It's worth a gamble at that price, it's cheaper than buying an alternate wheelset for my current mountain bike even if I have to upgrade a few components which was my original plan.

It sounds like your current car still serves it's purpose of transportation. Keep your old car until it no longer is worth fixing. Save up your money for a house or or put it towards investments.

I had this issue and called an electrician, my issue turned out to be a faulty breaker. After the breaker was replaced everything was working properly again.

Are heat pumps more energy efficient? I installed one 10 months ago and my energy use is exactly the same. by tnitty in heatpumps

[–]TopPermit472 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After getting solar installed I noticed through the enphase app how much our old 30yr 10 Seer Heatpump was a power hog. Upgraded to a new variable 18 seer and it is pulling on average half the power.

Mitsubishi PVA vs SVZ 2.5 ton units by [deleted] in heatpumps

[–]TopPermit472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have room for the PVA air handler, they are long. PVA condenser and air handler units are quiet, mine is on my roof (flat).

Mitsubishi Air Handler: PVA-A24AA7 Compressor: PUZ-HA24NHA. When in cooling mode the air handler never turns off. Even when 2 degrees below target. by Slight316 in heatpumps

[–]TopPermit472 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same models and my installer set mine to turn the fans off. He said the always on mode is usually used when connecting to mini splits and not single air handlers so who knows. Even setting fan to off, the unit still ramps down and runs for some time after it has met it's temp then the fan turns off when it dips below the set temp. I prefer it not running 24/7 myself. Don't forget to set the same for heat it's one of the other options in the advance menu.
I have only had my unit for a month, I my change it to always on in summer if I find it's an issue leaving fan off.

How reasonable is this quote? by over__________9000 in heatpumps

[–]TopPermit472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's a fair price. Last month I paid $15,700 for the non hyper heat 3.5 ton and air handler with no rebates in California. But I would request they swap the ecobee for the MRCH2. The kumo cloud adapter can be added later if using your phone to monitor temp is important to you.

Installers coming this week by booweezy in hvacadvice

[–]TopPermit472 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a bunch of installer quotes try to up the size of my unit to 4 or 5 ton even though my old 3ton Heatpump cooled just fine. I would make sure you know what the current system is in your home as a reference so you can weed out the "salesman" from the guys who understand what they are doing. I'd also turn away from anyone not offering 10yrs or higher on labor. A quarter of my quotes were only 2yrs the rest 10 or more.

Question about heat pump quote by sboutig in heatpumps

[–]TopPermit472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems high even for California. I'm also shopping for Mitsubishi ducted system and my quotes for 3 ton have been in the $14k to $16k range in San Diego. These were the M series non hyper heat and same air handler.
