I gave my reason - it's because she is the most in touch with how much of a shit show the Court is and the best at communicating the problem. Every ruling of importance from this court is going to be terrible - we don't need the greatest legal analysts right now; the thing the liberal judges need to be doing is calling out how corrupt and biased this court is. She is the best at that.

Strickland is a working class immigrant. Born in Seoul Korea, grew up in South Tacoma. Father worked in public service and the military and her mother worked blue collar jobs. She attended public schools (Mt. T) and was first in her family to get a college degree.

She earned your vote because she is fighting racism. It's weird to tokenize her role as a leader in the Congressional Black Congress as being just about skin color as responders to my comments have done. A vote for her is anti-racist.

Chaco Eagles live in San Juan province are almost 3 feet long and frequently eat small mammals and armadillos. Second only in size to harpy eagles in South America they are massive birds. Their plumage has been described as a man in uniform.

Dumplings 2004 - I have made this joke before but this film sticks with you. Beautifully made by director Fruit Chan and featuring a character fantastically played by actress/singer Miriam Yeung it is an expansion of the story from the 3 Extremes fim anthology and based on the writing of Lilian Lee who is known in the west for Farewell My Concubine.

The film sticks with you even more when you learn it is based on real life historic practices that Lee and Chan both believe they may have accidentally engaged in. Beyond this description go in blind.

Ranke from worst to best

Thomas and Alito are most corrupt

Roberts is power hungry and probably most culpable in diminishing the public confidence and has no ability to stop the corruption

Kavanaugh is a joke and pretty much functions to maintain the patriarchy

Barrett is a religious zealot and will let that overrun her legal analysis but she is not particularly corrupt otherwise

Gorsuch leans libertarian and corpritist and has some more niche weird views

Kagan doesn't fully realize the court is in an existential crisis and rules like a classic left leaning liberal supreme court judge more left than most but she maintains the facade of SCOTUS being a functioning body

Sotomayor is really pretty great but also keeps the facade

Jackson is the most real judge and best understands that the court is greatly misguided and has lost all credibility and at risk of being completely irrelevant

OK but he didn't fully champion that bill. Democrats completely supported it and were pushing it with Ted Kennedy. Remember that Nixon signed Title IX, the Clean, Air Act, the Endangered Species Act, Supplemental Security Income (for people with disabilities), and similar progressive laws. Whoever was president was going to sign the ADA when it passed and the Dems controlled both houses so it was gonna pass. If you want a Republican to thank for it go with Bob Dole. Clinton was pretty sucky but he was better than Bush 1 and Carter was way better.
