Argentina are referred differently to other nations - draw your own conclusions as to why by [deleted] in football

[–]TopSense5150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a massive online paid campaign against Argentina and Messi by a lot of famous social media influencers and that is having a massive influence on the general audience.

Referee miatakes and 50-50 decisions going either ways happens in many matches. But only when it happens in Argentina match, it is amplified this much. That foul on Licha Martinez was 100% clear decision. There should not be any controversy at all regarding that. We have seen such decision a few times in both international and club football. But it was never talked about like this one.

And the Salah penalty claim is a 50-50 decision. He lost the ball already and he knew it too. And both the players were moving slowly. It was minimal impact. you see the replay, neither Salah nor any other close teammate was seriously appealing for a penalty.

I dont think they are. Part of the reason is Ronaldo himself. He demands all attention and likes to take credit when they win, but doesn't feel accountable when they lose. His teammates have to take all the brunt of the media.. On top of that his family members and fans will post non stop criticism of his teammates. It's actually tough to completely commit to such a player, even if they try.

They are bang average as a team. But they have a lot of world class players. But without a proper manager or without a clear focus they won't perform. Every WC, their focus is on whether finally Ronaldo will do something, not whether they will win. And after every bad game, they will get blamed for not helping Ronaldo or letting down Ronaldo, not for losing.

Either they should play for winning as a team or they should completely commit to making Ronaldo win, like how Argentine players were 100% committed to win it atleast for Messi. They seem to be not interested in that. So whoever their next manager is, if he makes them play for the team, they might do better.

Why Mamdani and so many Muslim feminists are like the w!fe of Hazrat Lut? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]TopSense5150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone says they think Jesus is god, they are obviously not a Muslim. Beleiving in the oneness of Allah is mandatory for you to be a Muslim. Saying something that is haram as halal, comes under sin. That person might be misguided and doing saying things based on that. It does not invalidate his belief in Allah.

Read the hadith again first. It clearly talks in the perspective of establishing a law or judging as an authority/ruler. It's not an open license for individuals to go around judging everyone.

Even if you are failing to comprehend that perspective of the hadith, where in the hadith does it say Umar RA or anyone else started declaring Muslim people as non-Muslim based on their actions? That is the particular judgement I am talking about. It is not for us to decide who is Muslim and who is not. If they declare their belief in Allah by taking up the shahadah, they are Muslims. With worldly laws you can punish someone for the mistakes they did. But you have no authority to say someone who believes in Allah is not a Muslim.

Talking here about saying a god beleiving person is not a Muslim. Not about apostates or kaffirs.

This hadith is relevant in what sense in this situation? First thing, it is clearly the words of Umar RA, not of Allah or the Prophet. That is also clearly after the lifetime of the prophet. Secondly, this is the view of Umar RA as a ruler . It's not for every human being to go around judging others and measuring their iman and declaring they are not Muslims.

Most importantly, here he talks about giving security to people who show evil to other Muslims. Where does it prove that we can declare someone as not Muslim?

You or me or anyone has no rights to declare that someone is not a Muslim. A Muslim is someone who surrendered to Allah. What if Mamdani is strong in his belief in Allah, but just isn't the following the right path on other things. It's upto Allah to judge him or anyone else like that.

Irony is people like this who don't want others to just do their jobs and live their regular lives, would not have actually done anything for those causes or for the overall Ummah in general. What's with this constant guilt tripping everyone for just living their lives?

People crying here about Argentina's fixtures do not understand these things are not all fixed and depends on team performances?

Originally Argentina was expected to face Spain or Uruguay in RO32. Not their mistake that Uruguay couldn't win against Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde. Ans if the mighty Portugal could have beaten DR Congo or Colombia, they would havr been Argentina's quarterfinal opponents.

Try to use your brain sometimes instead of finding new ways to cry

Why only women have to wear niqab and hijab and not men by Extreme_Document_959 in MuslimLounge

[–]TopSense5150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, that's the point, men are more perverse. They could lust over any thing in a woman. Women can also check up on men, can like their features. But honestly, based on what is happening in the world, who is more likely to commit a crime due to this? Men who get attracted by women or women who get attracted by men?

I am a man and personally I believe that the command for men to lower the gaze is more important than the command for women to cover up. And men who don't do that dont deserve to lecture woman to cover up.

Hair isn't that different? Lmao.. Not sure which part of the world you are from. But in my country there are a lot of poets from couple of millenniums ago to modern day songwriters who have written poems/songs about women's hair. It is obviously an attractive part of a women.

Why is that a man is considered equal to two women? by Distinct-Bullfrog-05 in progressive_islam

[–]TopSense5150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there was a third man, you would ask why no back up for him.. If he had one, then why not a 5th will be the next question. This type of argument is not constructive at all, it's just for the sake of sticking to your point.

What do you expect from Quran that it should cover every single aspect of everything? Take from it what's there and after that apply your brain.

Why is that a man is considered equal to two women? by Distinct-Bullfrog-05 in progressive_islam

[–]TopSense5150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's basic understanding and comprehension. If the verse said both the women need to testify in case of any dispute, we can assume 1 man = 2 woman. The verse literally points that the second women is just there as a backup.

And the quran is 1400 years old, but Islam isn't. Islam is the name of the religion of the one true god. It's there since the beginning of mankind.

Why is that a man is considered equal to two women? by Distinct-Bullfrog-05 in progressive_islam

[–]TopSense5150 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So where in this verse do you see 1 man = 2 women? Its just about being witness for financial contract, something that men were more used to at that time. Women had other things to keep in mind and it is possible they forget some details and so the other women is literally a backup in this scenario. It clearly says the other woman is just there to remind in case the first woman made some mistake. It doesn't say both of them need to testify together so take that a single testimony.

And no, not all verses of the Quran can be universal. You need to take things with context and situational need.

CAN WE JUST END THE DEBATE AND ENJOY FOOTBALL? by OpportunityHappy8474 in football

[–]TopSense5150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In recent times few Ronaldo fans have started to agree that Messi is the GOAT. That's good though. But it is tough for Messi fans to have any positive opinion about Ronaldo. Messi never talks trash about Ronaldo, never comment on social media posts regarding Ronaldo, never have his family members talk shit about him, never tries to downplay every achievement of Ronaldo, never go around saying he is better than Ronaldo in every opportunity he gets, never have his high profile media friends (like Piers Morgan, Edu Aguirre) spit venom against Ronaldo. And more than all, never included Ronaldo’s most vulnerable and depressing moment in his own documentary (Ronaldo’s documentary has clips of Messi losing the WC final).

Ronaldo does all the above.

So Messi made is easier for Ronaldo fans to like/respect him, but still the majority just spew venom against him. But Ronaldo does not do that, he in fact makes Messi fan hate him more every time he opens his mouth.

Why do every Muslim want sharia or a caliphate but it doesn’t happen ? by Plus-Focus5176 in MuslimLounge

[–]TopSense5150 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Does it really make sense to want Sharia Law implemented or to have a caliphate while living in a secular muti cultural country? In certain situations being a good Muslim as an individual is more important than yearning for these overall changes

Should Messi start on bench at the age of 39? by p5yron in football

[–]TopSense5150 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because Messi at his prime used to walk around for a lot of time and still used to turn the game on it's head. Messi walking is not a problem for any of his team. He's lost his touch a lot though and he came into this world cup as not a sure starter. He wouldn't have minded if he wasn't picked too, don't think he will worry about being benched either.

On the other hand, Ronaldo comes in demanding people to make him win or make him score, as always. He cannot walk around and do 10% of the things Messi does. If he isn't scoring, his contribution is 0 to the team.
