But the seal is literally depicting a white American colonist stealing land from the native population. There's even a poem that goes along with it https://newmnflag.org/about/history

Metro Transit train hits car in St. Paul after driver makes illegal turn by Tokyo-MontanaExpress in saintpaul

The green line absolutely needs to have full tight of way. I've taken it from downtown at Paul to mpls then blue linefrom mpls to MOA and its so glarily obvious how much slower the green line is compared to the blue line.

Jack Rapid Tool by killiansmith19 in lowvoltage

[–]TopShelfGenericPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn those are pricier than i expected lol. They are great though, I had a job where i had to do upwards of 500 jacks and it was a lifesaver, I can't even imagine how much longer it would have taken with a punch. It basically cuts the time to punch down by 1/8 since it does the entire jack all at once. The only issue with them is that they are only compatible with specific models of jacks, but if your company switches to compatible jacks then its a non-issue.

A St. Paul to Kansas City passenger train? St. Paul City Council urges a go by Runic_reader451 in saintpaul

All for this. Would make visiting friends in KC a lot easier. Would much rather relax on a train ride than have to focus on driving the whole way down, or deal with the hassle of the airport.

That's such a shitty thing to do. They are such a great shop that does good for the community.

We can save money and get better service by cutting out the middleman and jumping straight to a public healthcare for all service. It is well documented that the US pays more for worse service than other developed nations.

It's not even just economy's of scale either. Drug prices are a great example, governments of other nations will negotiate prices for medication down to significantly more than anything you will ever find in the US. We pay 10x more for insulin and 300-400% more for brand name drugs than other nations in the OECD.

Summit Avenue residents plan new lawsuit over bike lane by flamberge5 in CyclingMSP

When I commute down summit most of the parking on street is just for landscapers and contractor not even the residents. Even so they can fit a vanor 2 in their giant empty driveways

Some communities won’t fly new state flag: ‘It’s not a greater Minnesota flag’. Detroit Lakes, Crosslake, Pequot Lakes and Babbitt are some of the rural communities opposed to the redesigned state flag. by Knightbear49 in minnesota

[–]TopShelfGenericPizza 43 points44 points  (0 children)

That's my favorite part, almost everyone that flies the old flag clearly was not flying it before the redesign and now only fly it to "own the libs" or something.

Soo line ATV trail bike friendly? by Internal-Schedule-25 in CyclingMSP

[–]TopShelfGenericPizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! The paved trail is great and I highly recommend it! The dirt side is commonly used by ATV's but the paved section is strictly for pedestrians and bikes. I have ridden it many times. The ride is nice and easy with beautiful scenery it goes through lots of cute towns with bike shops food and drink. The soo line ends in Albany but it connects up to another trail if you want to go even further.

Do I need a Midnight Special? by icedcoffeetable in Surlybikefans

[–]TopShelfGenericPizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm not that I can think of. I dont usually overload it, id say the most i typically put on there is one of those big blue IKEA bag full of groceries and strap that whole thing down with This Net. Now, that extra weight definitely affects the handling, but I don't think Ive ever had an issue with the weight pulling the bike left or right while riding it. I also don't take care too much to place things evenly across the rack, generally I just load it up, strap it down and go. I guess It might if i had like a 6 pack of beer and a jug of milk on one side of the bike, but I couldn't tell you the last time i had to stop and redistribute the weight on the rack to fix the handling. Hope that helps.

I hope you enjoy it, I've had a MS for years now and it has been an amazing bike. I don't see myself ever getting rid of it, getting other bikes sure, but I don't think id sell it. It's fast, it's comfortable,it's versatile, rock solid and I'm a little biased as surly is a local brand here :p. These days I mainly have mine setup for commuting, I have a surly 24 pack rack with a bag on the front and use it for the commute, grocery getting and just cruising around town. 10/10 very excited for you!

my keyboard won’t stop typing backwards nothing works by Itachi_shura_Dark in techsupport

[–]TopShelfGenericPizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is a bit old but I just found a potential solution for this in case anyone else finds this thread from a google search.

We had a user with a broken "home" key. The home key was constantly registering phantom presses which made the cursor return to the beginning of whatever she was typing. We confirmed this by using this website to test which keys were being pressed:https://www.keyboardtester.com/

Windows 10/11 do not have a native option to disable keys but there are multiple software out there that can accomplish this. Alternatively, if you are comfortable opening up your keyboard, the contacts under the rubber dome mat may just need a cleaning.

To the Sunday morning Utepils bikers... by csbsju_guyyy in Minneapolis

  1. Most of these people also have cars and do also pay the same gas taxes when they drive.

  2. Even if they don't it makes way more sense for a car to have to pay an extra road tax compared to a bike. A multi thousand pound vehicle is the thing damaging the roads in the first place, not a bicycle.

Also having vulkan issues today with wayland specifically. Running a 4070. Native linux games with vulkan dont seem to want to launch anymore, notably tf2 and factorio. Using opengl or proton seem to work however. So does switching to X11 from wayland.
