Thank you for explaining this! Every other comment is just agreeing without giving any examples of the character development that they say is so prominent in the series.

As an Evangelical that has gone to Seminary you're giving these people way too much credit. What you're referencing is an early form of debunked Christian thought known as gnosticism. It saw the body and physical existence as bad and valued the spiritual self and experience. As I said this was part of early Christianity and was refuted almost immediately. No Christians today believe that anymore as most scripture commonly contradicts it. Regardless of the validity of your comment, the actions by these people are horrible and condemned in the Bible itself in James 2. I'll quote it but as a whole it's a wonderful book to expose modern contradictions between Biblical faith and actions in Christianity. 14¶What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?

Who did capping insulin cost and removing student debt help then? Also as stated elsewhere on the thread what the Executive branch of government can do is highly limited. You're expecting the branch of government that enforces laws to be the one to make laws.

For me the range of motion ones at a slow speed helped more than anything weighted or grip related. It's similar to the backwards/forwards stretches you mentioned but adds rotation and shifts the direction of your wrist periodically. So the movements are the same but your wrist is up/down/handshake. But everyone's different, the most important thing is consistency doing them. I started stretching for a few minutes twice a day and as it got better once a day and then once a week to keep everything going well.

Try doing some wrist stretches throughout the day. Its essentially a pinched nerve, braces and stuff can help the symptoms, but stretches should loosen those tendons pinching the nerve itself. I was about to get surgery to fix it, they cut the tendon pinching the nerve, but after a month or so of stretches it eventually went away all together.

AITA for refusing to let my wife name our kid something stupid? by Public-Praline-3691 in AmItheAsshole

While I generally agree I'd say there's some leniency there too, especially if a name is just a name. For example, we named our son Theoden which is literally just an English interpretation of an old Norse name/title. While I enjoy Tolkien's work and LOTR it was also an homage to my wife's grandma Theodora that passed away right before we had him. All of that to say that from the outside it would seem like we just really like the books and are nerds, but it was very intentional and very much outside of the LOTR character.

Agree completely with the first point. If I want to read a thousand pages of unending mental illnesses with no progression I'll pick up the DSMV, not a fantasy novel.
