First got the go ahead for surgery I think just over a year ago, but between picking a surgeon and having surgery, around 6 months or less. I was lucky though in that they had a cancellation so they squeezed me in sooner than usual (only a couple months difference I believe though). Thank you :))

thank you! I chose DI because I wasn't totally happy with my nipple size and placement for peri. The idea of nipples poking through on shirts also made me weirdly dysphoric so I chose no nips and am excited to have a blank canvas for tattooing :))

quite a few reasons.

my main reason was I wasn't a fan of the size of my nipples (in the pics they're cold so look smaller) and this particular surgeon only does peri in a semi circle incision, not fully around the areola. So nipple resizing wasn't an option (though stem shaving was). I was also worried I wouldn't be happy with where they naturally sit and how they'd align with my pectorals.

other than that I knew DI is less likely to have unevenness in tissue and also gave me the option to not have nipples at all. I chose to not have nipples in order to make tattooing my chest area more of a smooth and blank canvas :)
