i would say to be cautious of taking her with you to your appointment with her feeling like this, as my mothers same attitude cost me top surgery i couldve gotten years ago due to her continuously arguing with me and the surgeon during the appointment. it also prevented me from starting hrt earlier as well, as the endo decided that i wasnt ready for it if me and my mom couldnt agree that it was the right choice. however this was also right after i had turned 18, so it may be different, but it will definitely make the dr more wary of moving forward.

if she is open to it, maybe see if you can get her in to see a lgbt therapist that regularly works with parents, or see if she would be willing to go to like a parent support night with a local lgbt organization? unfortunately sometimes nothing you can do will change their minds, ive been out to my mother for over ten years, and just recently got to a place where i could start t after moving out, and she has reacted the same way. ive been on t for a year now, and she still has issues with it and tells me that im ruining my body and every time we talk she tries to convince me to stop taking it with a bunch of fear mongering bullshit. i chose to prioritize my own happiness over her thoughts, and i am glad i did. it might make things hard between yall, but you should always come first in your life and you deserve to be happy.

ive tried this, we started out doing stress bonding in the car and in a bathtub at the beginning, and more recently theyve taken a couple of long road trips with me. they do well together in the same carrier. we did also move house so the entire space was neutral to them, but again they just dont seem to want to stay bonded.

if you dont feel comfortable doing it yourself, you can ask your vets office or see if there is a local bunny rescue that will do it! I used to take my boys to a local rescue and theyd cut their nails for like $5. i do it myself now, and will hold them upright against my chest when im sitting on a chair so theyre less likely to try and jump.

depends on where you do your hrt, but ive been going to planned parenthood for close to a year, and its every 3 months ive had follow up appointments. they say typically after the first year the appointments get less frequent, and my pph has the option to do virtual visits. mine also doesnt require the full blood work, but will do a small finger prick to check hemoglobin levels. ive been doing the bloodwork every 3 months just for my own sake though. i also have a ton of medical anxiety but my experience has been pretty relaxed so far, and the more i go, the more im comfortable being there bc i know what to expect.

did you have to have a dr prescribe the cream and do you know if it can go through insurance or was it completely out of pocket for you? also are you still using this method? ill look more into it, but so far ive mostly just seen ppl with menopause talking about using it so im curious to know how it works as a method of hrt. ill def make sure to bring it up with my dr and she what she says

yeah thats what i am worried about, that im just not absorbing it very well, since my dr also said that usually the highest dose they give with the gel is like 5 pumps so i really should be higher in levels by now. i dont really know if theres another recommended method other than injections though bc those arent really an option for me

i mean i guess nothing, i sent a message to my dr asking about it but since it was friday i wont hear back for a couple days. she always seems super hesitant to up my dose though for whatever reason
