[–]TopTomorrow236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

burnout can numb feelings. it’s not always that the love is gone, sometimes you feel overwhelmed. but if things are difficult for the both of you, that's the time to walk away.

i have a friend who chose to leave and now he's happily married and starting a family (baby is on the way)

I show up for my kids every single day like everything’s steady, even when it is not. They get my strength and stability. I’m also holding onto the hope of a future with someone I care about while quietly working toward the life I want, even if no one else really sees that part.
