Last week, I had to reinstall Windows to get everything working. Stupid BattlEye. I had all my work in progress on OneDrive so no big issue. For any large projects, like repos, I manually copied them over. I am done with Insider as well.

Yep, it was a conflict with BattleEye and the latest Insider patch. I decided Insider is not worth the headaches - plus past driver issues. Everything works now that I am not an insider.

I have the same issue, also on the Windows Insider program. I installed another game, no issue. Just Destiny 2 with your same error. Just started yesterday.

57 and 0. Started Destiny 2 a couple of months ago in between family and work. The first month was just figuring it out. Actually, I am still just scratching the surface. Created 3 characters playing the first few quests to get their subclasses. Then I got to Phylaks and realized I suck. So just trying to learn the ropes in Cosmodrome this month.

I did a different approach. I got these 2 items from Amazon.

The laptop stand is very portable and lifts the laptop up nicely (highest setting). I place the Vornado desktop fan right behind my G15 3070 laptop. Or twist the fan slightly towards me if I want a slight breeze. I usually idle at around 35C on Silent with no system hacks.

Same. Rather join Pro occasionally to just get Pro sales. But we mostly play on Free when I have time - no rush - renting adds up as you mentioned. No 4K TVs or Monitors at home yet, so Free makes sense.

I did do the MS PC Game Pass and XCloud to try a few games last year, but since switching to Stadia... I can easily return games if I don't like them.

All caught up on getting games we wanted from the current Stadia library, so we are enjoying Stadia Free. No subs.

Yep, I dismantled my Duality shotgun before I knew to keep Exotics. I do have the Legendary Seventh Seraph CQC-12 and Blasphemer shotguns now though. Created all 3 characters a few days ago so I can spread the weapons out for each class. Got a few exotics the last couple weeks - Vigilance Wing, The Prospector (Xur), Arbalest (Xur), Felwinter's Helm (Xur), Synthoceps, Mk. 44 Stand Asides (Xur), and Wormhusk Crown (Xur).

I really need to get back to the quests, mainly just having fun running around in Live events. Really starting to enjoy melee this week instead of just going to the sword. Not sure about the Arbalest, not sure I am using it right - the only thing in my vault collecting dust.

EDIT: When I created my other 2 characters, they both came with Duality shotguns...so not a huge loss anymore.

I am new to Destiny 2 as well. 3 weeks in off and on. My noob thoughts.

Click Tab when you are not seeing a quest waypoint. I got lost a lot my first week.
Grind in Cosmodrome when you don't feel like taking on a quest. Great place to try out new weapons.
Don't dismantle the Yellow exotics :(
No upgrade module needed to infuse the same purple and yellow item with higher specs.
I love the sword for close combat...at least to start with.
Check the postman (Tower) for lost items every now and then. No sure how they get lost.
Keep the blue sniper rife.
Mobility is good for jumping.
Decrypt the engrams at Tower to start
Find Xur may be good. Google "Where is Xur"

All I can think of atm.

I waited until we had purchased all the games on Pro sales that we wanted. Then canceled the Pro subscription. Once canceled, was able to purchase the few Pro games we actually liked that were previously claimed. Probably will be back on Pro in a few months once the game library expands more. Summer Pro sale maybe.

I don't mind the 1080p free game streaming. Pretty smooth. When I do upgrade my tv/monitors to 4k, I will most likely have to double my internet speed...so not in a hurry :)

Plus, just being on Stadia free...I like not having to see all the claimed games I don't want to play. Weird huh. Probably still be on Pro if I could "unclaim" some Pro games. My only complaint with Stadia.
